Ashton and Laudna are two sides of the same coin. Ashton resists, runs, and ignores his pain by being a punk (a good punk, but a punk nonetheless), and Laudna does the exact same thing, by embracing her creepiness and innate bubbly nature. But they both know deep down that their damage exists and they can only ignore it for so long. I have a feeling the two of them are going to end up being Very important to each other. Not even necessarily in a shipping/romantic way, but just in a ‘understood/connection’ type way.

@@phantasmicmasque well, consider the latest episode (37): we see bits of her childhood memories from her time in whitestone, between being ridiculed and harassed by other kids, like andy; her as a child making a bird so it can "take me away from here"; her parents pushing her to go to the party to elevate their status, which hints at possible abuse and when laudna told imogen "i forgot how much i hate it here"; all suggest she had a troubled childhood in whitestone. i'm also curious why she changed her name? escape from the past or something deeper? ashton was right, he seen very little, there is more to her trauma than being hanged from a tree.

In the Line of Tal being the Brother of the group: Where Percy was the older annoyed, resonable brother, Caduceus was the big loaf that you dont want to see angry, Molly was the Jerk that would set your House on Fire and insult the Dog and then there is Ashton, the Punk that you will see once half a year, at 3am, drunk in your fridge but if you insult his sister you bet your ass you wont make it through the door.

it's interesting, based on what we've seen in episode 37, it seems ashton was right. from the little we've seen laudna had a very troubled past even before what delilah and sylas did to her.

As much as I love their dynamic with each other, I don’t quite get romantic/couple vibes. They remind me of Beau and Fjord. Checking each other, forcing each other to be honest, pushing each other to try and be better people. It doesn’t feel like siblings so much, more like two individuals that are learning how to ‘people’ (to quote Yasha) from each other. Not gonna lie though, it would be cute to see the dead girl melt the hard as stone punk. Very Harold and Maude vibes.
