Could be wrong but her story adds up to me (PCs make weird decisions all the time for the "greater good" or to "save the world", too). I wonder about Iras intentions and allegiances though.

When you argued that Birdie being friends with Mori meant that there was no "deal" but just an understanding between friends. I replied that the moment when Ollie and Birdie have a dread filled reaction to Fearne's question, going so far as asking Ira's opinion, suggests otherwise. I think a deal was made. And that they didn't even realize it. Point 2: adressed to @Death by longname. He postulates that: " parents that sell their kids for favors are evil. Ollie and Birdie did so they're evil. Hence Yu the was right". I *disagreed* with that opinion by stating that they're not evil, merely idiots that got suckered by a magical conman. Not heartless parents that sold their soul for power. Their being a threat comes from their very whimsical nature, not from their intentions. Like Yu. Like any Fey for that matter. So, in that sense, Yu was wrong. They're no more evil than Yu. Finaly, the teasing...Hags reproduce in various way. The classical, "changeling" scenario, or by making other beings evolve into new Hags. A being can be "Hagified" through many ways. But a "typical" way is that of parents giving away their child (for various reasons). Said child is then raised by the Hag. Empowered by it (fun fact: Druidic Magic and Hag magic are very similar). Until, eventually, once their magical powers mature, they transform into a new, full fledged Hag. Hope that helps.
