Cynthia Powell Lennon she was extremely brave and courageous. This interview had to be extremely difficult for her. His questions were invasive and vulgar as he went for the jugular. I don’t know how she managed this interview with so much grace. Soft and well spoken she was very intelligent. She was a very attractive lady. ❤

She was left behind on the train station when Lennon left for India with the guys to see the Yogi. That was the symbolic end of their relationship. He didn’t turn around to get her but kept going? I wouldn’t leave my wife behind on a trip. So he showed his true colors then towards her. She was way too kind and caring for him. He didn’t deserve her. He found someone else and left her and his only son. And look how that turned out. A bad outcome. RIP Cynthia Powell

Yeah, and some people say I’m a conspiracy nut for believing that Joko was bad for him. She was a bad omen and led him to his doom. I don’t care what people say. Look at what happened to him. I’ve always said a good woman can lift you up and a bad woman can destroy you. Cynthia was a good woman. Joko is not! She’s a manipulator. She even blackmailed him initially by saying if he broke up with her she would kill herself. That’s emotional blackmail! What kind of woman says that? A sick one! If a woman said that to me I’d kick her to the curb and say go ahead! I’m done with you! That’s a load of BS! I firmly believe Lennon would still be alive if he never met her. You and I agree. I’m pleased that someone else get it besides me. But it’s too late now. Lennon paid a bitter price. He deserved better.

You are so right - John was always my least favourite Beatle - my mom was dumped by my dad and his step son led the life of a prince - but it all works out in the end I have a good relationship with my dad - my step brother is a pure waste of space and absolute lazy - but I’ve worked hard and can hold my head up - I did it on my own - and so can Julian Lennon - whatever he’s accomplished - and his music is beautiful and resonates with so many. ❤️❤️❤️

Not understanding some comments. Why would she say that John and Julian repaired their relationship and were best of friends? Julian says differently. I find it interesting that she refers to herself as the oldest (true) at the time she was in college still (no Beatles yet, per se) and refers to them as children, students. Ringo is older than John, and her. So, that was honest because she is referring to the time before Ringo joined.

£19k for house then bought a mansion, as she said. In 1965, my parents were able to buy a big house for £15k. It cost £5k when built in 1905. Only tripled in £s in 60 years. Jump in 1969 (housing act), several other jumps till we sold it when Mum died in 2012 for over 1,000 times what Dad paid. Shortly before John Lennon was shot/murdered, Yoko Ono publicized John's/their daily schedule and routes. Former bodyguards (she removed bodyguard security) thought as such, she was reckless and created great danger. We can only speculate that she intended for John to be vulnerable to known threats... very likely for such a proven cold-hearted selfish woman that was having sex with other men behind a closed door to their bedroom. John Lennon was the ultimate lover; how else could a person write the lyrics he wrote. John was full of grace and mercy as he unconditionally loved Yoko Ono. John Lennon chose to be blind to her selfishness and allowed himself to be manipulated. His first wife was the ultimate wife. She never complained to the press about John Lennon. I guess that kind of wife was boring to John Lennon. With good marriage counselors and commitments to exercise recommendations, John Lennon could have restored his first marriage to a good woman before the divorce.
