We live in an era with an abundance of information. But with its borderless nature and ease of accessibility, information is increasingly susceptible to manipulation. Deliberately crafted misdirection, falsehoods, and bias are all part of the pervasive threat of disinformation. To combat this constantly evolving challenge, many countries are taking action both domestically and globally such as the recent G7 digital ministers’ statement. Our expert panel moderated by Dr. Darrell M. West, featuring Prof. Maiko Ichihara, Dr. Jonathan Corpus Ong, and Prof. James Pamment will explore the threats of disinformation and how the global community can counter it.
