@@fred5399 That is correct. And it should shame the Republicans politicians even more that a gay man is much more articulate and intelligent than the vast majority of them. This interviewer is no slouch; she's playing Devil's advocate. I guarantee she doesn't want another Trump presidency. She is CORRECT about how badly Democrats suck at messaging! The public is largely misinformed about which of the two previous administrations served the PUBLIC best, and news outlets are SO worried about pissing off Trump supporters that they've helped normalize insanity.. Americans need to take MOST of the blame for REFUSING TO DO THEIR DUE DILIGENCE which requires critical thinking skills WHICH THEY LACK. It's entirely possible to learn these skills, however.

The press crying that they were treated unfairly by questioning Biden's age... The same whiners said little to nothing about Trump's constant garbling of words, etc. They have NOTHING to whine about they should examine their ethics (and stop whining when you're the unfair one!). Plus, Biden stepping down is in no way an admission that he couldn't do the job and it should not be framed that way. This interview shows she's trying to frame it that way. It was a choice by Biden to put what the people were asking for. Enough with the whiny press who are NOT properly covering this. I do appreciate the interview. I'm glad Mr. Buttigieg answered her much kinder than I would have.
@ArthurDentZaphodBeeb

Oh, come on. The press was legitimately questioning Biden's health and mental capacity, but was repeatedly stonewalled and gaslighted. Biden's handler's refusal to admit the obvious was a direct challenge to the press - the press had an obligation to pressure Biden to - belatedly - do the right thing. Honestly my friends and I were shocked (and shocked is an apt description) at what we saw in the debate - we had all known Biden was a gaff machine and laughed off the chronic GQP criticism as more of the same. But it clearly wasn't more of the same - Biden is clearly mentally deminished and likely has some sort of health issue (Parkinson, mini stroke etc) and had to step down or face a slaughter in November. There was a huge collective sigh of relief when Biden stepped away - despite our approval of Biden's Presidency, as a man, we all knew he was incapable of leading another 4 years (and it's debatable if he's competent to last another 4 months). Don't blame the press, blame insiders, especially Jill.

I agree with you. People who really looked into it and have the credentials to do so, like the shrinks on the podcast Shrinking Trump, found that Biden has normal brain aging but no cognitive decline. Instead, he is slowed and his stutter is more pronounced. He is equipped to continue his campaign in terms of comprehension and ability, but not in terms of the energy that is needed to right this ship. His legislative accomplishments are immense and he saved this country twice from fascism: in 2020 and just last week. Joe Biden is an American hero.

Pete wasn't a bad pick last time (I was a Sanders/Warren backer though.) He's a decent technocrat and has obviously done a decent job at where he works. The problem is Kamala. She's still broadly seen as unreliable and a lot of people (myself included) are still angry that she was pushed so hard by the DNC despite not being able to handle the primary debates. She has done a middling, if not abysmal job as the border czar, and she's done little in the last four years to convince me or the average American that she is capable of stepping up to the plate. We know that Trump is completely incapable of doing anything but benefiting himself and his cronies by proxy, but the lack of any positive signaling from the Biden administration about any of the successes they've had as well as the lack of reassurances about the economy or immigration (February was the *perfect* time to show how Republicans were unwilling to actually do anything on the border when Democrats handed them a deal on a silver platter and they refused. They never capitalized on it.) has left most Americans feeling like going with the devil they know. She also has to *SOUNDLY* beat Trump in a debate, and her poor performances outside of one zinger about bussing don't leave me with a good impression that she is capable of such. At the end of the day, I prefer her vastly to Trump, but it's like saying I prefer getting hit by a rock versus getting hit by a train. I feel that Democrats are sleepwalking into another 2016 moment again where there's no possible way they could lose all the way up until election day where they go, "What happened?" when they did nothing to prepare for it. And unlike last time, the Trump team is going to be prepared for his second term and it's really going to suck for people like me when Obergefell is next on the chopping block after what happened to Roe.
@pegacorn13
@pegacorn13 2 ай бұрын
@@EbonySaints I think you should start by becoming cognizant of the fact that Kamala Harris was never proclaimed "Border Czar" by anyone except the Republicans. Then take the time to research the facts about immigration and recognize that the Republicans have been consistently lying about migrants through the use of fear mongering and propaganda. Finally, take a look at a completely energized Democratic party due to Kamala Harris becoming the nominee. The Trump team is absolutely terrified by loosing Biden as an opponent. All they have is race and gender slurs and somehow trying to convince the public that she's somehow incapable because she has the ability to laugh and is somehow "too far left" (which in itself is laughable). If you haven't noticed, every single democrat is aware of the fact that they are running this race from far behind. Finally, it is abundantly clear that Trump is unqualified/unfit and placing him against a youthful, vibrant bada$$ is the best thing the Democrats could have done. People are going to be shocked when they hear someone speaking coherently. I mean enough is enough with the incoherent ramblings of an aging narcissistic criminal who thinks that migrants "seeking asylum" means that they are all mentally ill and being released from psychiatric hospitals 😂😂😂

So you don't want to vote for her, but you do because she's just a rock to the head instead of a train over the body. Just because Trump is the "devil you know" doesn't mean he's a better pick than her, it means you're (whoever, not just you) are underinformed about your country, politics, and the repercussions of choices. Sadly, yes, that is most Americans, civics education went to shit and news + social media feast on eyeballs with bs bait to nourish their ad engines and grow richer and gain influence. Sigh.

Actual assault weapons have been effectively banned sinced 1986 and are still banned today. The 5.56 NATO round that is so often vilianized was actually chosen because it was weak and didn't produce as much recoil as many other rifles. When I worked in Aspen at the Caribou Club, Trump was an entitled prick towards anyone perceived to be below him. Ya know… the employees and staff. So… Nothing to see here. Trump has ‪#NarcissisticPersonalityDisorder. There’s no cure. There’s no cure. There’s no cure. If you’ve ever known someone that ALWAYS places themselves first, who is ALWAYS a victim of their circumstances (we are all a victim of our circumstances, folks) and they have “no choice” because of their victimhood, pay attention. They’ll blame you, them and everyone else for the bad things they are responsible for and take credit for the good things. Trump will NEVER give others a care. We all exist to do for him. Period. * there are other NPD that believe the same things, to be fair. The point is NOT everyone does. NPD can’t fathom anyone doing anything for someone else because it is just nice. No money in return, no power to hold over anyone. Nothing. They think that’s stupid. Stupid, by definition is doing something for someone that is NOT good for them and NOT good for you. If it’s nice to be nice you don’t need it to give you anything other than a feeling YOU are a part of a community and are important.
