Hello Asia & BJ..... Two things about this song. First thing is that every time I hear this song, I tear up there at the end and, I'm a grown man (62 years old) with no kids. The second thing is that this artist sang this song at his daughter's wedding and HE NAILED IT!!!!!

I am a “ Daddy’s Girl Dad”. My daughter and I danced to this song every father/daughter dance while she was in elementary school. Now, she just finished her first year in college. Time flies at light speed ! Here’s to all great dads that are present in their kid’s lives. It makes all the differences in the world! God bless…

Me to, Jim. My daughter chose this song for the father daughter dance at her wedding reception over 20 yrs ago. I’ll never forget all the butterfly kisses.

I am the father of a daughter, grandfather to 7 granddaughters and great grandfather to 2 great granddaughters. I have sons, grandsons and great grandson too, but this song is about girls. My daughter was 14 when this song was released in 95. It was originally released on Christian Radio. I was newly married after being a single father for 5 plus years. I cried when I first heard this on Family Life Radio in 95. And it brings tears still today. I remember butterfly kisses and dancing with my daughter on my toes. Somedays are hard, but butterfly kisses make everyday better. Here are 2 more songs, these from Steven Curtis Chapman, "Cinderella" and "Beauty Will Rise". Both song were influenced by experiences with his 2 adopted daughters. "Beauty Will Rise" was written about hope after the loss of one of those daughters when she was 5.

Thank you so much for listening to this song 🎵. This was the song my father chose for when we had our father/daughter dance at my wedding 24 years ago 🥹🥹. And my dad did not like dancing so he took lessons!!! That kinda love shaped my whole life 🫶🫶💜💜. I absolutely adore you both. But watching BJ's honest reactions to love songs is a pleasure!!!! Asia we know we can count on you to make us smile 😊 💜💜
