I bid on the last lot of the Brunk auction, the three Imari-style chargers. Seemed like the best bang for the buck. Didn't get them, but just as well. Like I need more stuff. Best Regards to you and your wife. Get well soon.

I had the same surgery, wish you well. The spiderman poster appears to be a rare original double sided light box teaser movie poster. Very collectable item. As movie poster are becoming a thing of the past because most are now just an lcd elecronic screen display.

The enamel charger in the newsletter is not Canton enamel, but Persian enamel. Classic Persian enamel borders, motifs, building scene, shape, hanger on back, etc. Great video, thank you.

Hi Peter, the deposit is 5,000 sterling (not dollars) which is approx $6,500. So that’s not reasonable IMO. I get why, but just another way auction houses loose potential bidders. There was a Dutch auction house that had the same deposit requirement a few months ago. BTW, Ive bid many times with Sotheby’s and Christies. They have my CC on file and never had a problem. That’s my RANT.

Have some concerns regarding the Plakas auction. Ended up not bidding after making condition report requests through invaluable, sale room and their own site and only receiving a response for one lot and that was vague. Huge number of items passed and some withdrawn. Makes me wonder what was going on.
