3:17 his thoughts on minimalism in design are interesting. Clean lines, simpler forms and muted colors are cool looking and all but not necessarily always the right representation of a space. Jim knows his stuff for sure!

Since he has a large house he can really experiment plus I think that most of it was designed by the old owners … The real reason minimalism has taken off these days is because it is easier to maintain , houses are small and easy to mass produce … easier on the eyes … on a minimalist peace of furniture of iron work all you need to do is one swipe whereas if it has floral design , you need to clean so many crevices …. For even people who are moneyed time is of the essence

You used to visit the house every Diwali since childhood and we can say ..that kid inside you stayed the same (you walking on the balcony wall) haha. The house looks so peaceful and cold (in a good way). With time those TV and Furniture became vintage and am just appreciating for the maintenance. Love the house energy.
