I am a resident of Hiranandani Powai and own a few properties here. You're absolutely right. He came under the scrutiny of the government a few years back regarding the same. Hence, he built 1 and 2bhk buildings. But let me tell you the rates for those as well - 1bhk is nearing 2cr 😂 and 2bhk is nearing 4cr, and this is supposedly called 'affordable housing' 😂 Rent for the same 1bhk is around 70k and 1.6L+ for 2bhk 😂. Usable area for the same 1bhk is around 380sqft and 780sqft for 2bhk. Real estate has really become a bubble. FYI - I'm a 3rd generation in Powai and Hiranandani ever since its inception in the 90s and Powai since the 60s, and I'm also a real estate agent!

Years ago, I worked at a MNC in the Hiranandani Powai area. Great vision of this man. Recently, I spent a couple of weeks in Hiranandani Gardens and noticed a few issues. Pet owners from 8-10 Cr apartments often let their dogs poo on the roads without cleaning up. This behaviour stands in stark contrast to Singapore. On top of it, the traffic also seems overwhelming now. Stray dogs are everywhere, making walking unsafe despite the pathways.
@adityathakoor492238 минут бұрын
Very true. Dogs need to be dealt with in a humane way by means of neutering and relocating such that these issues do not arise. Also powai traffic is a nightmare. Can't imagine the pollution and noise for the buildings close to the roads

16:16 to 16:20 - despite paying such huge fucktons of money to buy a flat in this project, one can see Slums. What a pity. Anyone knows the reason for why there are slums right outside this so-called upmarket residence ?
@mohs1nsha1kh4 күн бұрын
No matter how rich people get, they want their house help to work on minimum wage - so slums would always be there. 2nd reason is there were some demolition of unhealthy houses/ buildings near the area and some folks found refuge here - This was 6 months back, not sure if it is cleared.

Dr. Hiranandani, U giving such an exhaustive interview to a novoice, to Mumbai & a complete novoice interviewer should be avoided. For a person of your caliber, stature its only imperative that you allow interaction with seasoned, classy, sophisticated journalist's. This guy doesn't even have a home and is so fresh & new in Mumbai. He has no idea about the dynamics of Mumbai, except the fact that he's mesmerised by everything...like most outsiders. I'd say share your space with someone classy, worthy of sitting next to you & not someone who would fall off seeing your 25,000 sq.ft. penthouse. This jerk had no idea what a penthouse is/was or what's it called....lol... I am a Mumbaikar (born-raised-educated & married) from Marine Drive. In USA for the last 31 years...
