I remember the worst spanking I ever got as a child. Will never forget it. I was about 10 years old. I told my mother I was going down the street, about 4 houses down, to play with a friend. She said OK. My friend's adult sister had just purchased an RV and parked it in front of their house, so I, my older sister, and other kids from the block went into the parked RV to check it out. I guess my mom called out for me (this is MANY years ago, WAAY before cell phones), and she didn't see me at first. When she did find me, she was furious, grabbed me by the arm in front of my friends, and spanked me the whole way home, propelling me down the sidewalk, spank, step, spank, step, spank, step, screaming at me all the way. No one else got in trouble for being inside the (perfectly safe, parked) RV, not even my sister, just me. I was mortified knowing my friends watched my mom spank me all the way down the block, and silently outraged at the injustice of it because I was where I said I would be, in front of my friend's house. The unfairness added extra flavor to the emotional damage!! (Steven, please use a version of this in one of your videos! Maybe the catharsis I will get from seeing it will help heal the emotional damage. Not joking.)

My dad always does this, he points in a general direction and says get that thing over there. When I don’t find whatever he is talking about in 3 seconds he tells me I’m blind and non observant. One time he told me to find his keys before he got home. I looked everywhere and couldn’t find it. It turns out it was in his pocket the whole time. It was very effective emotional damage.

Hey Steven’s dad, I thought this might help since I’m a mechanic. To fix the fuel pressure regulator pipe, you need to first remove it using a cross head screwdriver, drain all the fluid from the engine, disconnect all the exhaust lines, unbolt the transmission and rewrite the whole car and in case that doesn’t work, sell it. Hope it helps!

It's funny how strict parents of different countries and races are so similar haha. I'm African, and can relate. However, "emotional damage" is stuck in my head and I can't stop laughing. Nice one bro...very effective 😁

The part where you are trying to follow dad’s self-contradicting “geometry word salad” instructions is 110% relatable for people whose fathers come from Eastern Europe LOL 😂 the most confusion happens when assembling IKEA furniture, while helping him do renovations, also moving big furniture in/out of tight spaces at awkward angles is recipe for a high decibel exchange of words punctuated by wide vocabulary of colourful curse words

I used to be sent to the basement to grab tools so many times, when I did not find the tool I would be yelled at and sent to search it again. in the end it progressed so much over 3 years that I would spend up to 30 min checking whole basement not just tool cupboard for one specific item. and stil get yelled at for his sloppiness and item management. Emotional damage
