That song is from 2009, so it is a little old, but very good, and it was made in memory of two friends of Grubson mensioned on the beggining
@miakalafiorek45762 ай бұрын
Grubson is from Rybnik, a beautiful town in Silesia, south of Poland, near Czech Republic border. And, as you learn Polish, remember that CZ is CZ like in CZECH :P - it's one of few polonisms in English language. This song is about his friends that died and he knows that somewhere on the mountain top (in heaven) they will be reunited, they'll meet again.
@karolinaf37802 ай бұрын
Hi! For Poles, this song is very important, everyone identifies with it the way they feel. I hope you liked it too. on the other hand... I speak English fluently, I have a brother-in-law and cousins in England, but I'm learning Italian (I have a Polish-Italian mother-in-law), but let's take a look at the fact that I watched a lot of Spanish series when I was in school, but I understand Spanish better than Italian, despite that there are similarities! don't give up on the Polish language. limitations are only in our heads!💪

I really encourage you to listen to Kult. I think Arahja is their most popular song but most of their songs are great. They are a rock band from the times when communism was falling and they have a lot of great protest songs. Also their frontman is arguably the most influential modern polish musician having popularized rap and reggae in Poland

Omg one of my all time favorite songs! Makes me cry almost every time. Another artist you might like as well is PFK (Paktofonika). It has some fun songs. They even made a movie about them telling the tragic story of Magic one of the singers and the whole band. The original title of the movie is Jestem Bogiem. Named after one of there songs. Remember always that you are valid, valuable, unique, irreplaceable and you matter more than you know! take care!

Wes, if you interest in usage of polish specific sounds in music or poetry, try Julian Tuwim poetry. He loved to play with polisz "szcz", "r" sounds which add more dramatic feel. Some of his poems were turned into songs like: "Do prostego człowieka" by Akurat, "Do generałów" by Buldog, or "Całujcie mnie wszyscy w dupę" by Teatr Roma (as a part of musical).

I wonder how non native speakers are perceiving our language in rap? Polish people who are listening to rap often like French rap because the language sounds good. Where for example I don’t like listening to German rap or Russian rap as it just sounds too “harsh”. It’s hard to describe but I’m wondering what’s the perception of Polish rap in other countries. You said it sounds well and it’s quite rhythmic. Interesting…
