We got 6 juveniles a couple weeks ago and in the daytime they are very sedate. But 30 minutes or so after lights out they go wild. They zip around the tank with the Kuhli loaches like it's party time. We are so glad we have them.

@@dkbpesmobile8089 one of the most passive fish I’ve ever kept. Mine seems to prefer a fake plant, but make sure you have both a real plant and a fake one just to see which one it prefers. They like to sit attached to leaves. Also don’t be surprised if your catfish doesn’t respond to feeding cause I’ve never seen mine eat.

Would you say they are a lot like cories? I need a small bottom feeder that can get in around decor well as that's where flakes, bloodworms, etc go and don't get found. I need something that doesn't eat like a pig either and greedily snatches up all the food before the other fish have had a chance (I have slow to medium speed eaters) and this has been a problem in the passed in my tank. My tank is warmer than suggested but very well oxygenated and I read on some care sheets that they can live in warmer waters as long as you take care to have plenty of dissolved oxygen. I have another high oxygen cool water fish living in the tank and he's doing great with my setup.

I was wondering how these would do in a heavily planted cherry shrimp tank. When my colony of shrimp get up in some size I will need some way of thinning the heard so to speak. I'm an avid catfisherman and absolutely love the idea of a micro cafish.

Having so much trouble getting these guys to eat and I can't find them to try to place food. Their home: 38g planted. 75F, 7.0pH, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, nitrate spikes when I fertilize. Amano, yellow cherry shrimp, snails, chili rasbora, cpd, emerald rasbora, two small SAE. Lots of crypt, java moss, java fern, dwarf lily, bamboo... I think the snails and shrimp get the food first. I've lost at least two so far and they're looking really skinny. Trying to drop pellets in at night. There's usually a good bit of left over cyclops when I feed frozen. Still no luck. Everyone is getting along swimmingly except the ancistrus who do have their internal bickering but leaves everyone else alone. I am going to move some of the ancistrus out and get afew more kuhli loaches but other than that I was hoping to get some Hara Jerdoni in there to finish off the effect im going for. Ive heard that some fish can be aggressive towards fish of similar appearance and well... If you used the word adorable a few more times, we might think you thought these guys were adorable. ROFL Loved the video - saw these on one of your early video I think but I really appreciated the more complete description. I may try ordering a dozen or so when the weather is a little better. I know you get cold weather and I'm 2000 miles away and all of that gets cold too. Don't know if you have them now anyway. But I'm a patient man and if I can't get them now, I'll get them later.

I saw you have some in quarantine. Maybe they'll last until May or June --- or maybe you can make a fortune on those little ADORABLE suckers before then. ;-)

Can i keep this with guppy fries and shrimp??
@RachelOLeary
@RachelOLeary 2 жыл бұрын
Any fish that can will eat baby shrimp, and sometimes baby guppies. These guys have a low prey drive, but they are not shrimp/fry safe 100%

caridinakeller.de/Keilbecken.htm Hi Rachel, build one of these tanks. I use it for CPD and Dario hysginon very succesfully. I think it will work for Hara too. I have between 5 and 15 CPD per day with that for three weeks. After three weeks you have to put out the bigger ones and than it starts all over again. It,s a permanent breeding setup i use for all moss-spawners.

haha, I use mattenfilter! The Poret foam used for them is also what I use in all my tanks in my fish room. The 150g has a corner mattenfilter plumbed with a giant canister filter.
