The mom was one of the major draws in Playful Kiss. This was the 1st hit Korean romance, at least for several years, that had the male leads mom play a major role that wasn't antagonistic. I am aware that is because it's based on an manga, but still It was a major divergence for Kdrama back in the day. To be honest, most of the things Hani's dad mentioned about his daughter's flaws can be nurtured overtime. Cooking can be improved if Hani takes the time to learn about them. Everyone start from beginner into expert over the years. No one just becomes a professional chef or professional writer or whatever it may be overnight. Even something such as a troublemaker, she can grow and become more matured overtime too. Those things can be changed. One of the best things about life is that you get to grow and experience life itself with your partner, and in the process you both learn to grow, love and care for another, and just become a better person overall. The journey and memory are what makes it all worth it, not the destination itself.

They also released eunjo's perspective, what eunjo think about them and what eunjo knows about them, like eunjo said his hyung always cancelled everything he had for having time with hani like he said to his friend that he is busy at the phone and canceled it but the fact was he went out with hani. also his hyung always open their room' s window and sit near it, eunjo getting mad for that because thats make their room cold (at night), but seung jo ignored him (the fact that hani always open the window too, and then seung jo can hear everything from hani's room) eunjo also said his hyung smiling at card that hani gave and stared at that for long time and always open that box, and yeah keep everything hani gave to him, and ofcourse eunjo also knows it. Remember the scene when hani's computer didnt work while she completing the administration for the university? Eunjo looks mad to hani because at that time he asked something to his hyung but he ignored him, because he read book but when hani screaming and crying he suddenly jump as soon as possible to hani's room.

Although she later developed interest in the job she did but she never tried to find herself, she took up nursing coz he was a doctor. I really liked this series but only problem with it was....female lead had no strong character. She followed him for so many years even though he didn't give a single flyin duck about her. LOL back then when I first watched this Drama like for the first time I was so so happy for them and was enjoying it but now where I'm 16 I don't think their relationship looks so great he looks like he is just using the girl like for real it seems like he is just using her the girl is blind and the relationship is hella toxic I just don't know how I could enjoy this back then her best friend also loved her for like 4 years and he truly loved her and was ready to sacrifice a lot for her but she didn't even looked at him lol the kdrama is good but their relationship is too toxic and I think younger people won't understand what I mean right now

Everybody sees Seung jo as the toxic one, when he isn't actually. Nobody seems to address his caring and loving side. In the whole drama, there were scenes of Seungjo being a caring husband and a bf too till the end but ppl tend to only focus on the opposite side a d distort the real feelings of seung jo and his character into a different toxic person. Hani fell deeply in love more and more because she knows that Seung Jo is a great guy, it's just he is a bit cold and doesn't know how to express things properly at times and acts childishly. But he never once betrayed or had any relationships with any girl other than Hani. He loves Hani like no other!! On top of that it's a fucking drama, so better watch it with that mentality. This drama is cute af. Y'all lack braincells if you think that the drama is toxic, if you don't understand the depth of the story then that's your lookout. Nowadays kids can't watch a fucking DRAMA nicely without judging it and putting their SO CALLED SENSE into it. Lastly they ruin it for every other person who actually understands the depth of it and also understands that it's a drama afterall.
