Rosé's main focus is music, while the other girls have a lot of other aspirations like acting, dancing, and other promotions. I think people misunderstand this. Lisa and the rest never want to cut all relations with YG and disband blackpink. They just don't want exclusively chained/contracted to YG and be more independent. Currently, YG solely owned everything related to BLACKPINK and their solo projects. They wanted to have more ownership of their own name, like the ability to directly work with US labels without going through YG as the middleman as they taking some percentage of the money. It's all about money in the end. This doesn't meant they will stop entirely working with YG and wanted to disband BP. They will be stupid to destroy their biggest brand.

YG seems eager to keep them as well and has also shut debunked rumors that the contracts were rejected or that any of the members have left the company.
