Rob used to be the go-to place back in the late 90s when it first opened its doors in 1997. It has its share of ups and downs, but it remained afloat over the years. Hope this renovation will bring vigor and renewed vibrancy that it used to hold back then.

I was there in june 24 stayed at GO hotel behind it. Just started the renovation at that time. I will be returning in feb for a week. I will be close to Ayala mall this time. Good update 😊😊😊

Thanks for the video. In the beginning I had great hopes. It was a great concept at the time. I'm not sure what went wrong as it was a destination especially with city walk. But over time, I guess from the competion from the new Ayalla, renovated SM as you mentioned, and of course COVID. But also City Mall I'm sure took a toll (best theater in town). And now the new gaisano downtown. When you gave the roof view, there used to be a sabarro outlet there I liked to go to (I'm sure most everything was shipped from SM). And I never got sick. But that went when covid struck. Where you been?

Yes that pizza place Sbarro was good, had one in SM too. Never clicked, I think it was too expensive for locals

This used to be my childhood and teenage years go to mall in Bacolod. 😢

They need to re-develop that old mall to compete with SM. Also, the buying power or the economy of Bacolod cannot really sustain malls especially with the thriving business in online shopping which offers very low prices on their merchandises.

I've been to both Robinsons and Ayala in Bacolod last year, but the ones in Cebu City are much better, especially Ayala, Cebu, with its rooftop bars and restaurants.

looks like Bacolod has become saturated with Malls, some are now bound to down size or even close.

I was in there looking for some shoes for my kid and ate at that Shakey's last spring, in March I think, and the mall was already decrepit then with most of the stores closed including the city walk area. Haven't been back since.

Lazada and shoppee ruined mall shopping, now malls will be high streets, a lot of payment centres, restaurants, clinics. Not places people shop
