As an Army, I know that this is not one of our boys best performance but I still appreciate their professionalism nonetheless. Here's a little back story behind their Fake Love Performance :) "..DOCSKIM, BTS' producer, has stated that 'the wrong sound mix was played to BTS during MGA Fake Love Performance'. Thus the members and Charlie Puth were forced to improvise and adapt as best as they could to the change. This would certainly explain why everyone, including Charlie looked stressed during the performance - if they were forced to improvise on the spot then the fact that all of them, including Charlie, stayed so professional and carried on despite not being able to hear everything properly is really very impressive..."

Fun fact: Jungkook had his wisdom teeth removed the day before so his face was swollen and he was in pain and fake love was never meant to be piano solely. They mixed up an acoustic track to play alongside Charlie but the guy who does the sound mixing stuffed up and it resulted in only Charlie playing, it didn't help that their in-ears weren't working properly so they were basically performing acapella and used Charlie's piano as a guideline, all while being unable to hear themselves. Charlie felt guilty about it but at the end of the day, it was none of the artist's fault that someone behind the stage couldn't play the BGM properly or maintain their equipment. Sadly because of not only exhaustion but the inability to hear himself while struggling to match Charlie caused Jimin (along with other members struggling to maintain notes alongside the music) to go out of tune vocally, which must've been quite embarrassing but there was nothing he could do to stop it. Also, I believe they only had one rehearsal as well, right before the show with Charlie (or maybe it was the day before). The professionalism of both artists is outstanding and I also greatly admire both Jungkook and Charlie for trying hard to communicate with each other even though one couldn't speak English and the other couldn't speak Korean.

While this might not have been BTS's best performance it was still pretty damn good. I heard two different stories on what went wrong, people have been saying that the wrong sound mix was played and other's have been saying that it wasn't the wrong mix but the audio wasn't working and they couldn't hear it. Add on to the fact that they must of been really tired and I'm sure they only had so much practice time with Charlie Puth, things were stack up against them in this case. But I personally still loved it :)

It was not the original sound mix version they prepared for FAKE LOVE ..original was released by the producer later on his insta account..it is MGA(award show) that messed it up..they didn’t played right track but BTS and Charlie managed to perform it,the performance they gave was not the one they prepared. But they managed to perform on such sudden situations. V & even Charlie changed their part in the song..it was that award show sound department who messed it all up.

there was a technical problem... and different soundtrack version played.. and ear piece have also problems..as you see 1st jungkook remove his ear piece.. they still try to do there best as they was not hearing any sound due to loud noise... charlie contact with bts because jungkook..cover his we don't talk anymore.. and appreciated him for that... there are two version of his cover in youtube ..one his own and one with jimin you can find it in youtube.. also the members cover soo many song..and they all are superd
