Hey scale builders Guide, great vid, seeing this made me buy a D90 pickup the same night! Mind you if you can wait and wait for AsiaTees free shipping on stuff over $75 or $100, go for it or you will end up spending $40-$50 on shipping, and shipping is SUPER fast, within a week or less than that even. I am so stoked by the detail, freaking all tail lights are held in by screwed just like on the real rover! What detail, just amazing, I am racing to have it done, painting and the whole deal.

Glad we could be of service! Enjoy your build, it's an excellent body.

Mine should be here anytime.. Pretty stoked! Not much of a Land Rover guy but I couldn't say no to the detail on this body! Well done brother.

Thanks! Yeah, you'll be pretty pleased when it shows up, might even make you a convert! ;)

Mmmmm. join the forum! Agree! On a Defender note, this fits surprisingly well on the new CMAX chassis. exactly the same length too. Great review, Mr Guy!

GCMRacing1 - Scale Truck RC in Canada You are totally right! And as a huge supporter of GCM, I would heartily endorse the CMAX chassis setup for this body. Wait until you folks see this one! The perfect setup.

I just ordered the D110 wagon as soon as I saw the amount of details that this have. I am replacing the RC4WD body that I have. Thanks to this company that they took the time to make this as close as possible to the real thing.

Fantastic! Yes, this body is superior to any others before it.

In the uk boot is the back and bonnet is the hood but on a pickup truck or if it opens like a gate we call it a gate

The main front head lights look way to big also.....but the best D110 so far.... I have just ordered one but will need to alter the lights on the front for sure, they look well bad!!
@scalebuildersguild7 жыл бұрын
I agree on the headlights, a bit too large, but overall, the best example out there.
@bLuAnT8 жыл бұрын
Really nice quality & detail.....shame the body section where the side doors hinge is to wide & not to scale with the full size landie which has much narrower body posts in this area!!
@scalebuildersguild8 жыл бұрын
Well, it may not be perfect but it sure is better for rigidity!
@ArielsSmartyPants8 жыл бұрын
That would definitely be going on my scx10-2 chassis :) Wicked nice.
@scalebuildersguild8 жыл бұрын
Pretty sharp. You will have to adjust the wheelbase on your SCX10 II. Don't forget to only adjust the rear links, or you'll mess up the front geometry!

Awesome man that sucker does have amazing detail alot more than i thought it would also can i post a picture of what im building right now and still be entered its not a defender but it is a 2006 Land Rover LR3 Discovery its my favorite so far but 1 of them like you have i can honestly say looks like it will top it has more opening doors mine only has 2 doors that open the hood opens and the rear hatch opens 2 ways
@scalebuildersguild8 жыл бұрын
Defenders only for entry! It can be any one though, not necessarily a model.

ok cool that will work thanks man

Can you do a comparison to the RC4WD one and the Team Raffee one ?
@scalebuildersguild7 жыл бұрын
I can't, as I no longer have the RC4WD 110 body. I will say that the Raffee body is vastly superior in every single way. For the money, you can't beat it, or the features included.
@Lauritsen247 жыл бұрын
I'm very doubtful, because i want the most scale looks body and chassis wise. Do you recommend a chassis to run the Team Raffee body ?
@joshuacooke35028 жыл бұрын
which one would be easier to convert to a series land rover this or the rc4wd ?
@scalebuildersguild8 жыл бұрын
They both present big challenges. There's a lot of subtle differences between a Defender and a Series. I've done the conversion (poorly) once before on a RC4WD one, but the full, amazing interior on the Raffee would be my choice going forward. Having the hood already separate, inner door panels and roof as it's own assembly, helps as well. Go for Team Raffee!

do they sell a chassis kit (suspension, wheels, etc) for these bodies?
@scalebuildersguild8 жыл бұрын
Not really. They do sell chassis rails that are compatible with this body. The intention is to build around the body and rails using parts from the D110 kit from RC4WD. All of those can be purchased separately. Definitely a builder's kit! Rails are available here: www.asiatees.com/display?Miscellaneous-All-Parts-Hop-Ups-Upgrades&brand=Miscellaneous&model=All&id=130777&pid=1
@cs_gringo8 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your response, I'm guessing this body is meant for more experienced builders then.
@scalebuildersguild8 жыл бұрын
I'd agree with that, partially. It's got everything there in the box except glue and paint - so really, it's not a difficult kit, but does require some know-how to get it to running truck.

I am going to hop this with RC4WD parts like metal embalm, heritage grill AND the hood and side vents that are aluminum, Scale Builders Guide - can you help me here, I have no idea if it will fit or be off, would you compare the vent covers from the RC4WD rovers and this one from Atees - Thanks
@scalebuildersguild8 жыл бұрын
The RC4WD parts are designed to fit the body they sell, not this one. I wouldn't say that they are compatible. They might work, they might not, but I wouldn't chance it.
@ronitsingh858 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I have found out that gelande heritage grill is like a couple of mm smaller and so are the bumpers. Since you have the gelande rovers in your collection, would you f you don't mind, take just one of the Asiatees hood grills and place it on the gelande body for comparison, that's all I need, if its a little bigger than the gelande grills will fit but be loose, I can fill up and have the space painted, just that the metal up rare vents from rc4wd look so much cooler
@scalebuildersguild8 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I don't have any of the old Defender bodies on hand any longer.
@ronitsingh858 жыл бұрын
thats ok, I am going to go for the aluminum hood grills for $25, if it fits loosely, I will fill around it, if it don't work out, it will go on ebay. Will let you guys know once I get em, still waiting on RC4WD land rover emblems, they are out of stock at the moment

Awsome, I am actually trying to do my own version of the defender body with the dingo from Axial. I am going to try to get it up on my channel I just started a year ago. Check it out let me know what you think.

Not quite sure. The dimensions are not exactly the same, so it hasn't been tested yet. I'll ask my contacts at RC4WD.
