They should be a sport/dance in themselves. I only skate a little but have often thought how beautiful aerial and ice skating would be together. Thank you to this skater/aerial artist (Tiffany Tang?) proving me right in that thought!

This is impressive and how she doesn't cut herself on the silks while wearing those blades … idk

Is that a thing. (cutting yourself on the silk?) or did you mean that her blades didn't slice the fabric open? As someone who did figure skating as a teenager, the blades on figure skates even when freshly sharpened, aren't sharp enough to cut fabric. (Disclaimer: I know just a little about figure skating and nothing about aerial (though I have a niece who is apparently pretty good at aerial I could ask) Personally I love the combination of aerial and figure skating and I think it would be a great routine to see a figure skater and an aerial artist both perform at the same time, ie the aerial artist doing "spins" in their silks in the same position as the skater is spinning on the ice, and basically collaborating on other components of aerial and ice skating which can be structurally similar to do a routine where they both appear to be doing the same dance, just one is in silks, the other in skates... My other niece just took up figure skating, so maybe one day I will see this!

She’s lovely, but the transitions were sloppy. Both artistic activities are wonderful, but maybe not together.

I love this video for its beauty and grace and the combination of the two skills. And i also feel that if you are going to criticise you should provide some further info on what your own experience is with this that you are basing your criticism on, and what suggestions you have to improve. It may be that you are very experienced in this and you simply wanted to give some advice, but if you just criticise without giving any reason for comments like "sloppy". Well first no one knows which aspect specifically you thought was sloppy Secondly no one knows whether you have any skills, knowledge or expertise and experience whatsoever in either aerial or ice skating that you are basing your criticism on Thirdly you have not offered any advice on how any "sloppy" components can be improved? Sorry if this sounds harsh but your comment also sounded that way and I think if anyone wants to criticise someone online its so easy to do so without offering any evidence to back up your criticism, and when ppl do that it can come across as trolling. And trolling is just nasty and negative pointless crap. However giving honest criticism based on your own personal experience and skills in an honest and genuine offer of feedback may well be useful to this skater. But you need to explain more
