It would be extremely helpful, if you would call out which shoe is better for supination and pronation when doing shoe reviews.

Good review. Interesting you mention metatarsalgia with heel drop. I had to sell on the Ascis Superblasts V1 which I found didn't counteract with softness.

Is nimbus ok for flat feet?

Great review James, I've some question, which do you prefer to wear as daily walking shoes?
@james_mccormack27 күн бұрын
They both work well - I think it comes down to whether you want the extra stability of the Kayano or not

Ive been running in ascis 24 for 3 years (was lucky to have 2 pairs in the same model) im struggling to transition to the 26. Feels like me feet are working harfer and my runs are requiring more from me. How much time do i give it before i conclude that its not working?
@james_mccormackАй бұрын
It has a softer sole so it is likely that your stabiser muscles are working harder / you may prefer something like the brooks ghost 16

Which one is better for halux rigidus? I bought the Nimbus but after watching you video I think maybe the Kayano would be a better option 🧐
@james_mccormackАй бұрын
They could both work it just depends on how much stiffness one would prefer

I like both shoes, but could you tell me if either would work for my bunions? Thanx a lot
@james_mccormackАй бұрын
A bit more space in the toe box of the kayano

Great review! How a lower or higher drop affects your calfs and hamstrings..? Is it true that a lower drop put more pressure on them?
@james_mccormackАй бұрын
Unfortunately it’s not linear due to variations in gait, cushioning and individuals response to footwear but broadly higher drop = higher knee load

Is nimbus 26 as sinking deep on the heel like 1080 13/14?
@james_mccormackАй бұрын
Similar to the 1080 v14 but not as soft as the V13

Wait, this video was made 1 day ago? Great. I'm about to buy running shoes. I'm 95 kg / 209 lbs. And has a little bit supinated feet. Some time had knee pain when i'm running on slow pace. I always wanted to buy Gel Nimbus 26, but today i consider to get Gel Kayano insteas. I search for video, and i stumbel on yours. Can you give me some insight please?
@james_mccormackАй бұрын
They’re both max cushioned so weight makes little difference - kayano is for those who struggle to control pronation forces

I wear brooks glycerin and was told the nimbus were amazing.
