ASICS Novablast 4 vs New Balance 1080 v13

Good review! I've been running exclusively in the novablast 3 for the past year and it's been good accept that I get blisters. Hoping getting a 2E wide will help, but I'm debating if I should stick with Asics or try either hoka mach 6, Saucony guide 17, or new balance rebel v4. Still haven't decided yet

I would go wide in Asics Novablast 4 and reviews I seen have said the Hoka Mach 6 runs narrow in the toe box. I like the NB Fuel Cell midsoles...just be aware that the upper in the Rebel v4 is very thin and so is the material for the tongue. I haven't tried the Saucony Guide 17's. Novablast 4 are great for all day wear, as long as you do not have a wide forefoot since the toebox, at least for me, is a bit on the narrower side. If your forefoot is a bit wide, I would go with a wide fit in the Novablast 4 for all day wear. The only issue with going with a wide fit is that sometimes-available sizes and colorways are limited. The nice midsole cushioning, and mini-trampoline effect make these shoes comfortable for all day wear. ASICS has a 90 day return policy (it states the shoe must be in original condition) so save box and wear for a whole day, if you don't like they are returnable. Good luck to you.

Dude, THANK YOU! I’m deciding between the Novablast 4 or Gel Nimbus 26. I tried the 1080 and noticed the same thing! Extremely unstable! Apparently the Novablast 4 is less stable than the nimbus, but as long as it’s better than the 1080 as you demonstrated, it’s stable enough for me. The 1080 is a death trap for your ankle!

I haven't had the opportunity to try the Asics Gel Nimbus 26 yet, but I would like to try them. What I have read and watched the Nimbus' upper seems to be more comfortable/roomy than the Novablast 4's (the Novablast 4's toe box is a little tight). If you do get the Gel Nimbus 26's over the Novablast 4's let me know how they are.
