rho = p/(RT) is the ideal gas equation of state, which is one model for how the density varies with pressure and temperature. rho = constant is another model for how the density varies with pressure and temperature (i.e. it does not depend on either). We cannot use both models at the same time. This over-constrains the problem.

Then P/T = rho(constant) * R(constant) = a constant. Why can't we evaluate then using the eqn P/T = constant??
