Hi Mark, glad you liked the class. This was done as a series of lessons for The Nyamba Foundation. I am trying to get more things online. I am having a tendon pop back and forth when my thumb isn't on the cymbal during the shaking part. I have small hands. Is there any way to stop it from hurting? Should I modify my riqq? Padding, gloves, foam?

Do what’s more comfortable for you. Two options, one could be to turn your thumb away from the fingers ( if your right handed turn it to the right ) or place it it on the cymbal. Try these then maybe add something as you said to stop the tendon, e.g blu tac. If that works then add some permanent padding. Sorry this is the first time I’ve heard this happening so please do let me know how you get on. Good luck
