Black eyeliner in ancient Egypt is equivalent to modern day athletes wearing eyeblack on their cheeks. It’s supposedly prevents glare from the sun

Asbestos in makeup products doesn't happen frequently/abundantly enough to cause concern for makeup users. They've even done studies on people who work frequently with makeup, like makeup artists and models, and found they're no more likely to get cancer. Contamination of asbestos in talc is mostly a concern for people who work in factories with it, use it for building material, or work in talc mines.

lol i work in an asbestos control laboratory, it depends on the concentration released in the air when it's applied, in every country this concentration level is different, in europe it's 5 fibers per litter of air (5f/l) , the first symptoms will appear 40 years after the moment you breathe it and 20 years if you're a smoker.

I'm still always happy seeing how they have their pronouns next to their names when theyre introduced. And I mean I wasn't gonna wear makeup anyways cause I'm too lazy and my poor pores are bad enough as is

I'm not American so I'm not 100% on this but I thought I heard that the FDA doesn't have a big list of banned ingredients because most other potentially harmful ingredients are given certain allowable limits under which the substance isn't dangerous. (As they say, the dose makes the poison.) And there's not a long list of limitations because they simply just require brands to sell products that are "safe for use." It's pretty well-known which ingredients are safe or not so they let companies manage themselves. And because it's really common in the USA for companies to get sued over their mistakes, that helps to keep them in line and avoiding unsafe ingredients whenever possible.

It's so good to the OGs like Sarah and Selorm back. Yes that's it. That's all that's good about this video. 💖💖

I love makeup. I don’t wear it much due to laziness mainly. Tinted chapstick (not Chapstick brand usually) daily though.

Idk if switching to 'organic and natural' products makes much difference
@simonsaysism2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it doesn't guarantee effectiveness or safety, it's just the latest marketing tactic.

I've heard from cosmetic chemists that parabens or phthalates, can't remember which one are actually the best preservative. And natural or organic products can cause allergies and sensitivity as well as going bad faster.

Can't believe you would do this video without inviting an actual scientist or chemist. Google is not enough. Spreading misinformation.

Keep your makeup and just throw out the easy to replace hormone disrupting products like room sprays, cheap & nasty candles, floor cleaner and surface cleaning sprays.

Trying to decapitalize my mindset as much as possible and this is a major area I’m working on. Especially after covid I almost never wear makeup & am selling a lot of my going out clothing. Loving this new perspective on the beauty industry!
