I've once had a best friend since I was 11 yeas old, who just secretly liked me since that time, and she never told me, hated every girlfriend of mine. After me and my ex splitted apart, she started dating a friend of her who always tried to steal her from me. My best friend and I became "together", and she told me that she just became a friend of my ex to become closer to me and steal me from her, she actually always hated my ex. Her plans were to convince me moving to another country seeking for a better college, live with her and leave my girlfriend behind. My girlfriend splitted with that guy twice, and I didn't last with my "best friend", so me and my ex came back together, we learnt a lot about relationships, and we have been together for three years, truly happy. I have a male best friend and I am a girl. I've always thought he was gay so I was never really interested in having a relationship with him, even if he says he's not. 🤷🏻‍♀️ There's one of our (female) friends who is obsessed with him since they met. Now, this girl has been my best friend in some periods of time, one of my closest friends or just in my friend group, that's because we're going to be spending another 2 years out of 8 together, for school. She never really liked me that much, but I never tried to be a horrible friend, even if she sometimes was. Sometimes she was also a great helper and I agree to what she says, we have a lot of interests in common, we also kind of hang out. Recently she has been a pretty good friend, almost a best friend and I was planning on making a surprise for her when literally a WEEK ago I found out she was talking sh about me. I wondered "why would she do this to me? Now?". Here's how I found out: Me, her, the guy she likes (my bff) and my two girl best friends like to facetime. (One of the girl bbfs is a girl I met at a dance class and so I was the one introducing her to them, while the other one was my childhood best friend who basically everyone knew.) So, me, the dance class bbf, the girl and the guy were facetiming one time and suddenly the girl hung up. We were pretty confused but then the guy told us what she texted him. They're really intimate, or at least she is (she once told him her pub1c hair was starting to grow 😬) anyways, she sent him a message saying she didn't want to facetime with me. I was... surprised but then I remembered and it struck me: she was JEALOUS of me! What?? This girl thought for 6 YEARS OF HER LIFE that I wanted to marry her crush? Aka my best friend? No, I would never do that. It's weird because I always tried to get them to be together but he would reject her everytime. Then the other friend who was in the call said that she probably didn't like her too, but that it was fine because she hated and never tried to be liked by the girl. Wow. What a weird world we live in.. right?

Don't assume that just because he has a female best friend, that means something shady is going on. If you do this, you'll start stressing before you even know any other information.
