Exactly! Trans people can hurt people, just like non trans people... they shouldn't be treated any different. I think kimmidoll123 was just trying to say that hurting people just because they are trans is ignorant. The fact that they are trans shouldn't be a reason to hurt them.

As a trans person, these videos help me SO SO much. Especially in really bad days in my transition. Its so nice to be able to hear older trans people who have been on the other side talk about loving themselves now and know, I can one day be there too. Thank you buzzfeed, and to the lovely trans people in these videos. And to all the people in the comments being supportive, and positive: truly, THANK YOU. It helps you go from thinking the world hates you and is out to harm you to have a blossom, if small, of hope in your chest as you slowly get to watch the world change. That's such a difference.

hatlesspuma swagmaster society does both good and bad, and I'm in a position where I do accept that, but still I hate seeing people actually suffer because of us and our communities. I think that saying "it's not society" when this time most of it clearly is society, just means we have an excuse to not try and do better for those people who could have been your family or closest friends. I think that we should take the responsibility, even if we're not really comfortable with that, because those people deserve better. I'm not just saying this because I want to complain or blame other people, but I actually think that through education and awareness we CAN make this world better for trans or even the entire LGBT community. I also think change is already starting to happen- and that's just awesome!

As a trans person, my biggest insecurity is probably... just generally my ability to "pass". Specifically about my voice, and my gender expression. I make no attempt to deepen my voice. I'm not comfortable doing that, nor am I comfortable wearing the most 'masculine' clothing. I would much rather wear clothes I find attractive, and sometimes that means I shop in the "girls" section. (Not all the time, considering I'm also a fan of jeans with pockets ahaha) I also dye my hair, which most consider a feminine thing to do. So to most, I look like a girl with short hair. But I have no problem correcting people when they misgender me. I may be feminine, but that doesn't always mean female.

I respect you sooooo much. I respect everyone to a degree, but you're the kind of trans individuals that I respect. You're not feeding into the gender roles. You're being you! You don't mind wearing what you want instead of" passing" cause I feel like you know who you are and comfortable in your own skin and know who you are. I'm gender neutral and it feeds my spirit when I encounter (virtually and too) individuals who don't try to fit into a box just cause society says so! You're you, and YOU know who you are. Please continue in changing for the better. Don't ever feel pressured to change just to fit. Keep on being you, and living an honest, kind, good life.

Even though I am cis gendered and biologically in every way female, I have a very deep voice and a hormonal problem where I look almost male so I get misgendered a lot or people think I'm Trans and can act aggressive towards me. Even if it's a mistake at the airport or an actual insult it is very hurtful. People just don't see what another sees and can intentionally or unite nationally be hurtful.

I was taught this thing, that when you're uncomfortable, you're doing something amazing. Therefore, all those trans people who are incredibly uncomfortable, should take those feelings and thoughts, and change them into feelings and thoughts of "I'm uncomfortable because I'm doing something amazing. I'm uncomfortable because I'm doing something ground-breaking. I'm uncomfortable because I'm changing my world into something that I love, and something that I am. I'm doing something drastic. I'm doing something for me. By being uncomfortable, I'm doing the amazing thing of changing at least one or two people's point of view on trans people from 'Abomination' to 'Amazing'. I'm allowing at least one or two people understand me and those who are similar to me. Therefore, I have removed 1 or 2 trans haters from this world. Because I'm uncomfortable, I'm in the process of changing the world." To all those who are transitioning, or have already transition completely, and you're uncomfortable; know that you're changing the world, and you are amazing. I wish you a beautiful life.

I'm shocked that people have nerve to walk up to others and beat them up because they are in a certain way. How does it affect your life if a stranger is transexual? It's just a person who wants to feel like they belong in their own skin, how can you disfavor someone that?

I am not trans but I've always been surrounded by trans women and trans men. Seeing their struggle had always been hard and I wish I could make everyone see them as I do, beautiful people who want to be happy and comfortable. it's disgusting that anyone could cause them pain, people I love and want the best for. I started dating my boyfriend eight years ago, before he came out, and watching him be so angry and uncomfortable was a challenge, I would have given anything for him to be happy. However, now that he has the privilege of ignoring people and being in a community that mostly accepts him, I am thrilled to watch him thrive and live his life as the person he always deserved to be. Although I can't relate to the struggle and hardships of trans people, I will always stand behind them and nothing makes me happier than seeing people shine as who they are.

This really hits me in the feels, because I really don't think of their insecurities when I see them. I don't see the masculine features. You remind me of my old French teacher. Love the lips. Not manly/womanly enough? You're perfect. You exude strength and power. You are actually the people I think of when trans topics come up. Much love.

dear trans, gay, bisexual, intersexual and every person who isnt like "the norm": you are a great person! i know the path is difficult; society judges people who are different way too fast. hang in there and try to surround yourself with people who accept you the way you are, it will truly help you. society is slowly starting to change, but prejudices are hard to overcome. sometimes it will be really hard to follow your path, because of all the hatred and judging looks. but never forget, that the reason why you are doing this, is to be your true self and your true self is the most beautiful self of you that does exist of you. one day, society will have changed. until then, never give up :D

All of these people are so beautiful ?? Like I'm not just saying this because they're beautifully strong trans people, they are physically so beautiful!!!! Like oh my lord most trans people are prettier than cis people so if our society is really as superficial as I believe it is trans people should be at the top of society, they're so gorgeous oh my god.

It fills me with such...not joy or happiness...but content and warmth that with each video about trans people, there are fewer and fewer dislikes. In some ways, we do have to think about that other people think of us, so that we can educate them, but only if they're willing to learn. peace x

So many of us struggled to survive long enough to transition. When I share about being kicked and punched by a dozen boys every day in elementary school, it's amazing how many other LGBT+ people identify. This kind of abuse can leave us with a lot of PTSD. When we come out, we have those fears that those days of violence could come back. The courage of transgender people coming out in an inspiration to me and to others. Thank you all in the video for sharing. There was so much that struck home.

I got beat up 3x/day from age 6 to 14. Male puberty made me suicidal. I turned to drugs, theater, music, and isolation to survive, but almost didn't make it to my 25th birthday. I got married but my wife realized I was a girl inside and didn't like being a lesbian. After 2 kids and 7 years of platonic marriage, she decided to marry her boyfriend. I started to transition and had to abort when she threatened to have my visitation revoked, because I wouldn't let her new husband beat up the kids. She told the Conservative Christian social worker about my being transgender and she wrote the letter without talking to me or my kids. Aborting almost killed me. I gained 150 lbs, and after 2 heart attacks and a stroke, I realized that I HAD to transition. The funny thing is that NOBODY was that surprised when I transitioned. I'd never been terribly masculine and after transition I seemed "right" to them. I wished I could have transitioned MUCH younger, like before puberty. My mom had learned that the treatment back in the 1960s for people like me was shock, torture, brain-washing, and if that failed, lobotomy so I wouldn't kill myself. Life after transition was so much better. I didn't have to dress sexy, I just had to blend with the other women my age, size, and situation. The result was that I became almost invisible, not because I was trying, but rather because the natural woman was just able to be herself.

These kinds of videos gave me a lot of insight on Trans and the whole LGBTQ Community.I live in a country where being gay/trans is such a taboo and they will be made fun of, which I can never understand. "It doesn't make sense." "It's not normal" Yeah, that's because we've been shaped to think this is weird and it's sad to have people treated others so badly just because they're different. I'm not going to lie, i did think this is weird once, mostly because i grew up being taught that being gay/trans/bi/etc is weird and wrong and I still have a lot to learn to understand them more. Being more educated on the subject does help me understand and help me become an open minded person. So here's to you guys, who have suffered so much and/or still suffering for trying to be who you are. I hope you guys always remember that you're never alone in this and that there's still kindness and love in this world.

This video is amazing and really helped me feel better about myself and less giulty about transitioning and about my girlish figure. my sister always talks about how she cant wait till i finally hit my "girly adult phase" but that wont happen because im trans, and it made me feel bad because my whole family just keeps talking about all these things and how they cant wait to see me in a wedding dress and that wont happen either. i will be a man, in a tux, watching my wife come down the isle, not the woman in the dress my family wants to see. i still haven't come out, but i will in a year or so when im out of the house. So thank you buzzfeed for this video, it made me feel a lot better about myself.

@ADN-kf5be9 жыл бұрын
I know it is important to raise awareness for these sort of things, but I feel buzzfeed are overdoing it a bit. Making similar videos every other day about the same subject (transgender and homosexuality being the most frequent) is getting a bit annoying and repetitive.
@drewg.47799 жыл бұрын
Presumably they had all these people come in and film several videos in one day, so there's probably going to be a lot of them. And think about how important these videos are how how much of a difference they can help make. Trans people are hardly represented at all, and it's great to see a channel that isn't primarily about LGBT things drawing attention to LGBT issues. You don't have to watch the videos, and I'm sure that these mean the world to some LGBT people, especially teens.

Magic Penguin I didn't mean to cause offence or anything, its just my opinion. Obviously awareness needs to be made it just feels like everyday there is a new video about transgender people on this channel. Obviously I know I don't have to watch the videos I just thought I'd give my opinion

I'm trans and my biggest insecurity is being just anywhere in public. I'm stuck in not being able to transition (due to parents) and because I hardly look that masculine, I'm not "man" enough to a lot or people I don't really like being in public because I /know/ everyone will think of me as a woman and see me as such. But hey, I'm also an actor, so I can act through it, but it's getting very difficult.
