I envy the community you can physically be a part of. I live in a small town and have never met a Thelemite in person. The online community is not very welcoming and it makes it more challenging being a poc. I love Thelema and will continue to study regardless of what people online think. Just wish I had a community.

Thank you for sharing. I wish you were able to have an in person community as well. I don't know if you're looking for advice (if you are not then please disregard), but festivals and conventions are great ways to meet people and experience community. You would have to travel, but it could be worth it. I'm presenting at Mystic South this year and volunteering at Thelemacon. thelemacon.org/ Also I do run a small Thelemic study group online through Discord. It is friendly and fairly active. There are a lot of good people on there. You can join through my Patreon. If you have financial hardship, then just let me know and I can send you an invite directly. Best of luck to you wherever your journey may take you!

I absolutely adore listening to your hot takes. You’re such an inspiring, brave person and your passion and hard work is not going unnoticed. I’m just talking for myself here but thanks to your educational videos (and overall quality content in this platform) my current journey through Thelema although lonely and challenging at times, it’s becoming worthwhile. Keep up the great work! 💕

93 Lynn. I'm sorry (and wish I could say surprised) to hear about the attacks and misogyny you've received. As a newcomer to Thelema and as a man who is not part of any groups, I've found your work a great resource - not just for information but also for providing an invaluable female perspective that I wouldn't otherwise have access to. Thank you so much for this! Every man and every woman is a star. 93/93

I am new to Thelema and I have to say thank you for the amazing work you have done! Your professionalism, knowledge and respect towards everyone is very admirable. I am glad I actually found your videos first and did not find someone who would've drawn me away from Thelema! For me you and Lon are the two main content creators and I want to say Thank you for showing me the authentic side of it! I guess all communities are a reflection of humanity "as above so below" and alll of them reflect all the good and the bad too. I want to say thank you again and please don't stop inspiring me and many who deeply appreciate you and your content 🥰

I also want you to know that your Liber Resh video has been extremely instrumental to my practice- thank you!!☺

10:12-10:59 (misogyny) That has to change. Especially given the symbols in Thelema, that is shocking and unacceptable although I have seen some professed male Thelemites with severely overinflated egos.

Excellent presentation. I'm so glad you are making these videos. Cogent, personal, informative, and (I guess I'm a little disappointed to say) not the least bit offensive. It's nice to hear another intelligent voice explain Thelema and magic in an anecdotal and plain-spoken manner much in the same way Lon DuQuette does. Keep up the Great Work! 93 93/93

I'm not an Thelemite or an Occultist but I do enjoy watching your videos. I love hearing other people's perspective and philosophies about how to live their life in this harsh and beautiful world. I'm a Christian, and I'm very firm in my standing with what I believe, but I'm always curious and eager to learn new things. Also to connect and understand other's even if I don't agree 100%. But I can actually relate to you, in that even within my religion it can be very isolating, especially if you are intellectually curious and have interests beyond what is deemed "safe" by the mainstream Church. I don't know you, but you seem like a wonderful person, I hope the bigotry and hate stops. Solitude/Isolation can be a crippling comfort that we eventually become numb to, its hard to come back from that.

Thank you for checking out my videos. I'm honored that you enjoy them. Despite the different beliefs, some of my best friends are Christians and I enjoy hearing about different perspectives too. Something I really enjoy is watching the experiential vlogs from people on different paths like nuns or Orthodox women. We just don't have those kind of vlogs for Thelemites, so I hope to continue to make more of those as I go along on my path. Best of luck to you wherever your path may take you!
@Renkaru8 ай бұрын
@@MaeviusLynnThank you for responding! I think the beauty of being human is the way we can relate to each other and even understand other perspectives even if we don't agree on everything, empathy is built into our nature. I don't have many close friends that are outside of the Christian faith, but I will always be curious and open minded to others. Yeah I love watching those sorts of vlogs as well! I consider myself a non-denominational Christian, I always felt sort of lost in denomination I grew up in. I think watching videos from Orthodox Christians to what you do is helpful to grow and strengthen my own beliefs. I'll keep watching your videos, keep up the great work!

Great video! 👍 I found it as i lay on the sofa of a brother and a sister in my Swedish lodge. We will give the I:st degree this weekend and i am part of the ”preparation team” for the temple. Living quite a bit from the temple that means…sofa. But also conversation, fraterniztion and just fun and catching up. I agree that people online are ( often )very different to Thelemites i meet in person too. I often simply avoid the online version except for videos, essays and the like. Anyway, again, great video! 93 93/93

I am also self taught, magick and qabalah have always been a deep interest. I am interested in joining the OTO and possibly the A.’.A.’. I’m planning to meet with my local chapter soon, so I’ve been doing a lot of research into the subject. Your channel is very helpful! Also I am very sorry to hear about misogyny within the occult community towards you :( it should have no place here at all. I am a gay man and I will sometimes see homophobia within the works of otherwise good books and it does bother me (Gareth Knight, although he’s apologized for it, Dion Fortune, people from around that era and earlier).
