I remember being stunned in elementary school when a teacher needed to leave early and the principal came in and taught my class!

I think your dad is so sweet to do this for you. Please tell him thank you. My husband is a former high school teacher turned high school principal, and now works at the district level. He enjoys when he gets to visit classrooms. I'm sure he misses it. I believe many of them miss contact with the kids.

Thank you for this video! My husband and I are both teachers in the Central Valley of CA (I teach 2nd and he teaches high school). I loved the FFA shoutout!! My husband is an AG teacher so we are very involved in the FFA program. 👍👍

Oh how cool! We were super into 4-H when I was younger. I was the president of our club and I raised pigs for like 6 years!

Your dad was your science teacher? Isn’t that a conflict of interest?

i don't know that admin necessarily "forgets" how it feels to be in a classroom, i think the classroom climates just change so dramatically from school to school and from year to year that it's likely completely different now than it was when they last taught!
