Do a video on room treatment and your findings / recommendations; particularly ceiling treatment best practices would be awesome

We are definitely working on that

I'd love you guys to do a "What you would build" in set budgets. Like $5k, $10k, $20k, $50k and unlimited. Why you pick each part and what sacrifices you make and why for future proofing.

Ok will consider that. Given projectors start at about $4-5k (aus) doing a room under $20k is very tough but let’s see what we can do with this.. it might be a while though :-)

Sir! If someone has a 16ch processor and 20speakers to include Sub's. Can an XLR splitter be used to create additional channels/out put to accommodate for the lack processing channels?
@HomeTheatreEngineering Жыл бұрын
You can but you need to be aware of limitations. They are extra outputs but not extra channels. In other words they are duplicate signals but being sent to different locations. This can be problematic if you are doing any room auto eq or calibration. Our normal practice in this case is to use one output for Sat 4 subs. Run the output to a mini dsp and setup the 4 subs with the mini dsp first so they act as one. Then calibrate the room. This works well

@@HomeTheatreEngineering Yes sir! The plan is to utilize the Mini DSP HD 2x4 for the Subs... However, utilize a XLR parallel line splitter for speakers.

@@michaelslocumbsr.2286 Yes so again you need to be careful. I don’t have enough information. Which channels do you plan to duplicate? Where will they be located? What type of processor and what type of room correction? How is there room designed how many seats? We have used xlr spkitters for second row surrounds (not front wides or as discrete channels) but disconnect those 2nd outputs during calibration. Hope this helps.
Andrew, I'd LOVE it if you boys can do a review of the INCREDIBLE LG HU810?! in recent years, I've been disappointed with 4k dlp projectors, but this thing is game changer, so much so that I bought one! They do take a bit of setting up to get right, but when you do, they compete more with Sony and JVC, instead of Epson...👍👍

We would love to. We just dont have the funds to buy units to test and companies dont send us units to test. We can reach out to LG and see what they say.. will keep you posted (and if you want to push LG to send us one to review that can only help :-)
