Dickey stay on point. I always say I go by how a conditioner makes my hair feel. Who cares if a product product is 100% natural but leaves my hair feeling dry and hard. No ingredient snob here. I just want soft, manageable hair.

I part my hair thick MBL 4a hari down the middle with my fingers and dry the thickest part at the roots only. Then I do the same on each side. Done in less than 30 minutes.

Thank you for the information. I had stopped using conditioners for a while. I have since reintroduced conditioning and was not finding really great options for my fine strands. I have to admit the Hairrules Quencher is fabulous.

Oh my goodness!!!!! i use to use just deep conditoner and under the dryer for 30 min...THEN Hot oil treatment for 20 min!!! That is just to Plum long under the dryer for 50minutes!!!!.... then i was told to do my hot oil treatment and Deep contioning at the same time, put your conditioner in your hair first then your favorite oil because the conditoner will put moister in your hair then the oil will lock in that moisture sit under the hooded dryer for 30 min rinse and FEEL THE SOFTNESS!!!!! SUPERSOFT !!!!!

I may try the Quench conditioner. But I like using the old Queen Helene cholesterol conditioner, adding oils, aloe vera , less effective conditioners to that base and making it all work, while underneath a dryer or just having it on all day.

Deep conditioners leave my hair softer than the normal post-shampoo matching conditioner. Should I bypass the conditioner that matches the shampoo and just use a deep conditioner only?

That Quench is the stuff. I am going to order it again. Last year my order was sent to the wrong address and I called with no help from customer service. Had to get my bank involved to get my money back. I am going to ordering one more time and hopefully I get it this time as he said it is very softening..

I’m learning so much from your videos! I’ve never attempted a wash and go because my type 4 is so fine. How do you get your hair to take on enough water in order for it to be fully saturated? Water seems to literally sit on my hair. Any help is appreciated. Thanks for the consideration. 🙂
@doThatGWalk6 жыл бұрын
Jenn B That means your hair is low porosity. Try shampooing then condition. I find the shampoo to be moisturizing for my hair.

@@doThatGWalk But I thought we weren't supposed to use shampoo? Can you explain
@doThatGWalk4 жыл бұрын
@@kearstenw3855 That's not true. Cowashes can only remove so much from your hair but shampoo removes more dirt & grime which makes your conditioners penetrate a lot better & your hair responds better too.

Again, I have three types of hair (or whatever it's called), so how do I go about choosing and applying a conditioner or do I need two or three and how would I go about applying them. My top has no curl pattern and is almost str8, it's not kinky nor does it tangle. My sides look like it a mix between the top and the back but it tangles, boy does it tangle. From my ears back "look" kinky but isn't. It's very easy to comb. If I had to say, I would say it also doesn't have a curl pattern. When it's wet it looks str8 also. So, what conditioner do you recommend?
@Shyypye6 жыл бұрын
Great video as always! I have a question can you address the phenomenon of the curl sponge situation!!! Are these things legit? Do they damage hair or cause unwanted matting to the hair. I’ve seen them a lot lately on KZbin, and I recently taper cut my hair. Seems like a nice solution to getting your curls to tighten up quickly, but I want to know if it’s a good idea.

I'm going to visit the Caribbean in a few days, how can I maintain a twist out with the high levels of humidity?
@allisononyoutube57946 жыл бұрын
K Clemons do wash n go with lots of hold. The gel and humidity works well together. Just make sure you put a leave in under the gel. I'm 4c and I live in Florida, I wear wash n go 99% of the time. Humidity is REAL!! GEL IS MY BEST FRIEND.

Dickey can you answer this question: I've used some conditioners that have knotted up my hair. For instance, when I was in the shower and I shampooed than rinsed it out and put in my conditioner, my hair automatically started to knot and tangle. It was as if the conditioner made my hair start to dread up. Why do some conditioners do that? And are the best conditioners ones with slip?
@mochacream39236 жыл бұрын
Probably alot of protein that conditioner.

Love your videos as well Dickey! I read that your natural hair texture is washed and dried hair free of products. You mentioned in the video its the pattern you see when it's full of conditioner. I obviously trust your word versus some blogger who's no professional stylist but would you address and debunk her claim?
