I have no issues with Kwaku thinking we're weird as freemasons, I can laugh along with everyone. I do ask the Ward Radio crew to be respectful of talking about rituals that are supposed to not be shouted from the rooftops, leaked on the internet or not. Just cuz someone leaked endowment stuff doesn't make it ok for me to blurt stuff out on a livestream.

I want to specify that I don't think Kwaku is going for 'cool points'. I'm not willing to go after his character. I believe him to be one of the rare people that are willing to be authentic in what they think and express. I like and respect that in a person. Also, the masonic ritual is not sacred like the endowment. My request for it not being blurted out in a video is based on a request for respect, just like we would to another denomination of Christian who maybe saw leaked footage of an endowment. Even they don't see it as important, and maybe are even deeply bothered by it, human to human decency should mean that it not be further leaked.

As a scholar myself, I appreciate Don’s view on debates. They really aren’t ways to settle matters of truth. Debates are mostly for entertainment purposes. And the “winner” is not always the most informed, rather, it’s whoever is perceived as the most aggressive, or the most passionate debater. This is why, in my opinion, debates are largely useless. I would rather have a discussion which implies that both people have open minds and are not going to defend their position regardless of what facts are presented before them.
@krismurphy771111 ай бұрын
I disagree. I was involved in Political Debates...Campaigning. And yes, Style sometimes trumps all. BUT, I found that when a person debates using only TRUTHS and FACTS, coupled with being able to communicate decently, THAT EITHER PREVAILS OR IS EFFECTIVE. BUT... all I use are Truths and Facts HERE in discussing LDS History, and most of the time it falls on deaf or jaded ears. You can tell people, to their face, 100% truth, and they still can and will reject based on their biases.

As a member of the church and a Freemason, Freemasonry isn't that weird. There is a lot of symbolism which you wouldn't understand without going through the training and catechism. It can be really cool to see the lost doctrine within Freemasonry which is missed by those who don't have the restored gospel. The reason scholars believe it didn't exist prior to the middle aged is the lack of written documentation before that time. Maybe Freemasonry didn't exist prior to that time. Maybe written documentation exists which hasn't been found. Maybe it was not written down prior to then due to the prohibition against writing down any part of the rituals. The prohibition still exists although it is largely ignored. The "founders" of Freemasonry could not have simply guessed and gotten so much information correct. If the endowment ceremony is true, then there must be a connection between Freemasonry and the ancient rites. By the way, as you know, there is evidence of the temple ceremony in the scriptures beginning with Adam and Eve, through Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, etc. I love Kwaku so much! He has the best reactions to everything. And now my favorite Trump impression! Tell him that when y'all have me on the show, I'll bring my hammer for him to check out. 😂

Great show great answers. Thank you to Don for answering the question of the William Clayton Journal, I appreciate it. The points I could not fit into the small chat were: Hyrum's deed is written out, with his name on it, and many lots given for $10,000. It is completed and notarized on the day of 12 July 1843. Then Emma's and the children's deed, but suddenly the writing on the back abruptly cuts off while naming another lot after listing all of the same on Hyrums.. Never notarized for some reason, so it's impossible to tell what day it was truly written on. Also, on Hyrums, only on the back side, his name is penciled out and "'Emma" is penciled in. This makes it seem like it comes later, why, I don't know. But the point is, his was dated by notary and not hers. My main point of bringing this up was to disprove a previous claim made on this show that Emma's part in D&C 132:57 alluding to Joseph not giving property out of his hands and then giving it to Emma on the same day as a holdup to not divorce him, was proof that D&C 132 is legit. If he actually told Clayton to write Hyrum a deed on the the day, it would mean that it was not because of a terrible fight and sorrow and tears between Emma and Joseph as William Clayton claimed in an affidavit many years later (1874). That's the main reason I brought it up, to say that it should not be used as a contemporary smoking gun for Joseph's polygamy revelation to Emma and her resistance to it. On the more speculative side, it is very interesting that in the journal entry, William Clayton mentions that Joseph gave the lots to Emma and that it was seemingly tied into receiving the revelation and her resistance to it. Why would he go to those lengths to tie those together and make sure to omit Hyrum's deed from his fair copy of his journal? (It was not written on the day of or it would be like his other journals and much messier). I do concede Don's point that the one thing that might make sense is that it could have been a mistake to give it to Hyrum, and he accidentally wrote it all out to Hyrum for some reason instead of Emma, as his deed was not included in the later book of deeds while Emmas was. Just seems strange to me that Clayton would make such a big mistake while it's all being notarized and everything and then somebody later has to edit with pencil, and then Emma's copy is never finished or notorized. I'll do more research into it. Again, thanks Don for answering and giving me points to consider and think about.

@@krismurphy7711 Not as you put it, no. Joseph Smith was one of the most financially strapped; He was also in the habit of giving away tons of stuff, which made it impossible for him to make store keeping a remunerative enterprise for him. And... there is nothing wrong with someone - anyone - doing business for honest, fair, profit. Just because a person is a religious leader, doesn't mean they can live on air. Real Estate investment, as long as the charges are fair and equitable, is just as decent a 'living' as selling apples from a cart. It is true I haven't looked into this recently, but as general aspect, it is also fact that often Real Estate transfer deeds can reflect a price that is never paid. There is a huge legal difference between Giving a property, and Selling a property. If you give a person a piece of property, they can be taxed for Income on "Fair Market Value" (whether that value is fair or not). In essence, this could make it impossible for the receiver to do anything with the property, because really destitute people don't often have a ton of cash to pay those Income Taxes with !!! I know one state I lived in, they got away with that, by Selling. In Real Estate transaction "Non Disclosure" states, you can write the selling instrument out for "One dollar and other considerations", if you sell it for a million, or just that one dollar. A cute one I saw in the 80s, "One dollar, her love and delight she has given me, and other considerations..." it was a father to his daughter. Of course, he was giving her the property, but as long as she paid him that dollar, technically and legally that was Sold. The selling property to immigrants was sometimes done with enormously high interest rates, laws didn't used to prevent interest becoming part of the principle. Upton Sinclair alludes to this in his 'The Jungle' (Very depressing book, I don't recommend it unless a person needs a jab of harsh, brutal hopelessness by way of fiction.) Fact, a contract could be written in such a way, nothing was every paid off. Ever. There is absolutely NO occurrence of that with Joseph Smith, or any of the Smiths, I would say it applies to nobody, not a single person in Nauvoo. But as soon as you say 'never' or 'nobody', there's sure to be an instance, or someone, even if just only one! As far as using his position to steal people blind, there's not even inference either Hyrum or Joseph or Brigham Young ever did that. And, as far as those lots go, the amount listed could have simply been the Fair Market Value, and had nothing to do with with $ actually changing hands.

Ugh. I think half the stuff we think we know so much about, ends up being either slightly, or entirely different than the initial originator intended to mean.

The Great Isaiah Scroll from the Dead Sea Scrolls has all 66 Isaiah chapters intact, and is dated to 125 BC According to the Israel Museum, modern scholars accept Isaiah's official words to contain chapters 1-39, with 40-66 being from a later prophet in the Deuteronomist times. More interesting, though, is that Christ declares His messiahship using Isaiah 61:1-2. He never declares these scriptures as wrong, but rather, He uses them as reference. And then there is Doctrine and Covenants 113:7-10, where an answer is provided related to Isaiah 52, hinting that the chapter was written by Isaiah himself. All of this considered, it brings into question whether the scholarly conclusions are accurate.

I have purchased Don’s book on the Lost 116 Pages. It is an excellent book but not an easy read. Could you guys ask Don Bradley to make a diagram of what he thinks the Plates given by Moroni to the Prophet Joseph Smith look like. In this diagram it would be helpful if Don could label the sections of the plates as follows. Sealed Portion/Non Sealed Portion. The Non Sealed Portion hopefully could be further broken down into the Large Plates of Nephi and the Small Plates of Nephi. The Large Plates of Nephi could then be even further labeled the Lost 116 pages and the non-lost Large Plates of Nephi which make up roughly from the Words of Mormon to the end of The Book of Mormon. I think such a diagram would help me and others understand the issues around the Lost 116 Pages. In other words, it’s my understanding that Joseph didn’t have two separate sets of plates; one large set and one small set. The small plate abridgment was likely on the same size plates as the large plates and the plates in the sealed portion. I imagine that the small plates abridgment were on plates that were either at the beginning of the plates Moroni gave to Joseph or sandwiched between the Large Plates and the sealed portion of the Book of Mormon. Also I imagine that not all of the abridgment of the small plates was used to replace the Lost 116 Pages.

@josephplayspickleball11 ай бұрын
Definitely interesting. I think outside pressure has to be a huge factor. At least in getting the ideas flowing in woodruffs mind. The United States were cracking down hard on polygamy and ready to wipe it out completely, sending John Taylor into hiding, where he died. Woodruff mentions in the manifesto that it was better to stop polygamy than lose the temples. I believe he was inspired as well that it was the right step to take, even though it took more years to officially end the practice in the church. Would love to hear Dons take on this. I think outside pressure getting the ball rolling isn't a bad thing per se and we can honestly thank the US for being able to go after it to help the leaders to see things differently.

Nope. That's not a denial denial from Sidney. That's Sidney passing the denial buck to Joseph. Does Sidney actually believe that Joseph didn't write a letter? Based on the non-denial denial approach of Sidney's entire statement, it appears not.
@EverydayNormal11 ай бұрын
@@onandagus1 I didn't say it was a denial from Sidney did I? I said the denial was from Joseph to Sidney. Thank you for confirming exactly what I wrote, even if you started it with an incorrect "nope". You frame it as though Sidney knows Joseph is guilty of the accusation but is lying about it. The correct way to read it is that Sidney is stating what he knows to be true and what he can legally back up in court. It is the best denial Sidney can possibly have as a mortal. Is Sidney lying about Joseph denying it to him? Possibly. Sidney's word isn't good for much either way since his words and actions across time contradict one another. In 1846 Sidney claims that he warned Joseph of his polygamous iniquity bringing ruin and destruction. If that is true then why did Sidney: 1. Provide the letter used in the "Affidavits and Certificates" paper used to disprove Bennett's claims. The same paper carried across the nation by 380 men who were sent away from their families for the purpose of denying Joseph's polygamy. 2. Invite Joseph to minister to his Daughter Eliza who was either very ill or dead, which ministering resulted in either Eliza's healing or raising from the dead. 3. Defend Joseph against Francis Higbee in court and claim that Joseph had only been honest. 4. Claim in August 1844 that Joseph and Hyrum, after their deaths, continue their positions and that Sidney would be the "spokesman" for the church. All of those events took place after the Happiness Letter/Bennett fiasco. Rigdon's words and actions during Joseph's life do not indicate he is one who believes ruin and destruction are coming because of polygamous iniquity. They are the words and actions of someone who has heard many rumors but believes his friend. Does Sidney actually believe that Joseph didn't write a letter? Based on his letter reporting facts which he has firsthand knowledge of, and his actions for years after that point, it appears so.

There wasn't a 2nd (Duetero) or 3rd (Trito) Isaiah. Avraham Gileadi convincingly shows there was only one Isaiah. In a nutshell, there are three breaks in the text, trouble at home, exile abroad, and happy homecoming, which crappy scholars think are three Isaiahs. But, there are other ways to break the text, namely a seven-part chiastic structure that spans the entire book. There is also the Servant/Tyrant parallelism that crosses the "three" Isaiahs. There is imagery that is consistent across the entire book of Isaiah. For example, flora represents people in a consistent way across all of Isaiah. Mountains, which represent nations, are consistent across all of Isaiah. There are many replacement words, such as hand and arm (and many many others), that are also used consistently across all of Isaiah. The idea of three Isaiah came to be because liberal (non-believing) scholars did not believe that Isaiah could really tell the future. With the idea that Isaiah could not see the future as their starting point, they developed the garbage theory that there must have been 3 Isaiahs.

This a dad comment: Kwaku is always about getting the laugh on this show and I know that is his role, but the lack of respect about freemasonry easily translates to allowing/encouraging others to do the same with the temple ceremonies. For this reason I will not watch “leaked” footage of any others faiths or fraternities, even though the temptation is strong to do so. I think watching them is in of themselves disrespectful because your viewing something clearly they did not intent outsiders to watch and it is easy to misunderstand what you are watching.. Currently the elders in my ward are teaching an investigator that is a Freemason and I believe he would find Kwakus attitude offensive, then add Kwaku is a member of the church.

I completely agree. I found Kwaku’s mocking of others sacred ceremonies severely off-putting. Especially with how we are mocked in the same way. I know several LDS members who are also free masons and each have beautiful similarities. Even as a faithful LDS member, I can feel just as weird about our temple ceremonies as Kwaku says he feels about theirs. God cares about the intents of the heart. That’s what really matters.

There was an interesting psychological perception experiment that happened previously. In a High School what seemed to be a documentary movie was shown in an auditorium to all of the attending teenagers. During the showing of this documentary film in the film itself a girl in a gorilla costume would walk around behind or in front of the main subjects, the main people who were being interviewed during this docu_film. When the kids in the audience were questioned individually by the psychologist researchers, half of the adolescent students claimed they didn't see the girl in the gorilla costume AND many argued against this having happened very strenuously. They couldn't believe that something that was out of place, that wasn't the main topic of an education movie they were required to watch could have something in it that was so completely outside of what they expected when they initially began to attentively watch this movie. This begs the question, what if the girl in the Gorilla custom had stepped out from behind the screen that the teenage students were watching and used The_Gorilla_Grip to shake their hand??? Would they have seen this girl in the Gorilla costume then??? Right in front of their face, as it were??? It would be like a creature had come from the smoke and shadows of the Nether_Lands. Now let me say that I am not Only a Fan of this young lady who did this in this psychological test movie... I really appreciate her as a human being living here on planet Earth. Now let us turn to the Israel_Palestine War to gain proper context for this principle because this is something that is on everyone's mind at the present time. Twelve year old girls were taken and brought into secret underground chambers where Anti_Israelis human sacrificed them, after raping then torturing them. You don't need to go to the shadows of the Dark Web to know about any of this because of all of the news that has been coming out of Palestine recently. These captured young Hebrew ladies were put on crosses where a nail gun was used to affix them to the "T"_like wooden structures. They were seductively pleasured by Anti_Israel females, whipped til their skin fell off their bodies, then the Anti_Israel females ritualistically drank the blood of the veins of the dying bodies of 12 year old Israelites and cannibalisticly ate the meat of their pitiful agonized bodies. The Anti_Israelite women who did this to some of the kidnapped women from the Rave Dance Get_Together that had been happening in South Israel at the time of the Palestinian attack... they did not become demon_spirit possessed despite these subterranean troglodyte rituals that seemed to be for that purpose... instead these girls participating in this shocking ritual abuse were possessed by three sets of three Goddesses. If you notice from both Greek and Ancient Egyptian Culture, the Goddesses were often grouped in threes AND also in groups of nine. Three times three equals nine. Joining the 9 Possessing Goddess spirits was Ares the Greek God of war (Astrologically Aries). So that gives the number 10. Ten (10) is where you symbolically have the phallus with the "1" numeral symbol and "0" which is the highly descriptive numeral anatomical reference symbol for the Goddesses [10]. Using occult number knowledge the number [10] tells that Man_Woman in eternal marriage are together forever (like an abstract concept is forever true). The Roman name for Greek God Ares is Mars. Mars is where the word marriage comes from. This shows the incredible importance of ritual... they are keys that unlock the gateway to power, money, fame, you name it. But don't women sin when they do this kind of thing to other women (the abuse of female combatants by other military female combatants)??? Answer: Not if the highest God of them all is Mars (or Ares, Aries, if you prefer) God of eternal marriage, God of war. People die during warfare all of the time, who is to determine what is a sin and what is not??? If the lower Gods say something is a sin, but the highest God says that an act of a female mortal is not a sin... then that's like the U.S. Supreme Court... the highest court wins in that legal situation. Prostitution potentially can be exceedingly lucrative. Is it wrong if a lower God deems it to be wrong??? Answer: Depends on what the Higher God says. If he and his numerous Goddess wives hold to the doctrine that the ends justify the means during hot or cold warfare, then clearly it is so that Harlotry is no longer considered a rebellion against the ultimate power in the Multi_Verse. Mars always wants his 10%, we have clearly already established that fact from previous cited precedent. The snake, goat, and dog, whether you consider this astrologically or see women interacting with these fleshy creatures online on a webcam in a petting Zoo... the concept of them connects to the chimera space aliens that future Earth Society is going to interact with frequently as we expand out into outer_space for the purpose of forever_war. As the saying goes make love not war. But the real truth is... like the Pat Benatar sung song says... "love is a battlefield". Love is war. This is why Mars is where the holy and righteous word Mar_riage comes from in the first place!!! Endless love is the love of a God for his Goddesses wives, endless hate is the hate that a Goddess wife has for her husband... this is the progression of human kind during the apotheosis process, women traveling to one polarity, men to the other, but both being sealed together in a Mar_Mon Temple. Mon means people of. Mars is the God of love and war. So Mar_Mon is the people of the God Mars... or spelled modernly, the word is Mormon. Who is right when it comes to victims killed during war (like the Russia_Ukraine war for example)??? We must let God decide and not judge un_righteously... for there have been casualties on both sides and actions taken during hot and cold war that have mitigating circumstances. Does sin... other than expediency during mortality... even apply to human females to begin with??? The female in her costume such as it is with The_Gorilla_Grip just walked by while you read this KZbin comment. Did you see her??? It's difficult to see someone that's in the back room somewhere... but eyes aren't the only means of gathering information. Jesus told men to love women no matter what... no matter what they have done or have not done. We do that through example by keeping the commandments of the Christos by us. In this way women see the zeal that we men have to fulfill every command of Jesus Christ... even if it means that someday we will be on the cross and our wives will be gathered together to sacrifice us before cannibalizing and drinking our blood. Or after... her preference. Women are the boss of the men after_all. We are merely their servants created to please while we obey the laws of the Goddesses. This is the order of Highest Heaven. Isn't it interesting that when you count all of those who participated or produced this Ward Radio show the number comes to eleven (11)??? . . .

Ok, here's a question for you guys. Why did the church change its views on abortion?? My sister joined the LDS Church in 1984 or 1985 and at that time she stated that the LDS church was strictly pro-life... but I see they have changed their views, now abortion is possible under certain conditions. Abortion is murder!! I think the church has changed its views is because they wanted to moderize with the times. Also they are afraid of loosing members....loosing member also means loosing money. Shame on the church for going along with the world views. Why don't you guys do a show on the church's view on abortion??? Also do a show on the planet "Kolob" you know where God supposedly lives and how man can become a "god" and have his own planet.....that would makw a very interesting show.

Soda questions why? if it were me I'd drink wine, than I'd drink coffee, than it's a toss up between soda and cigarettes. Literally soda is cigarette liquid in a can. With that the Free mason thing, the church actually resembles the Hopi rituals more than the free Masons.

Being a spectator, looking for the facts and truth, watched your episode and then watched Michelle Stones 2 episodes. What I saw was, the ametuer Michelle Stone lay out several cases illustrating with source documents where historians flat out put forward "models" that are based in falsehoods. One might call it malpractice, while others would simply call it lying. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad at how such an amateur can do better work than professionals. And it's not one example, it's many.

The infinite regression of Gods, is to me quite simple. Let them be one, even as we are one. The priesthood is without beginning of days and end of years, without father or mother. There is one power of Godliness and all who partake of it become one in Godhood. It isn't that complicated. Are there many personages, sure. They become one in ultimate power: One in Godliness: One God, many personages. It is the only way to go forward. It is similar in concept to the trinity idea, except it is many personages, many Gods who become as one God, advancing the creation of life for eternity.
