About sound recording: in an open air stadium much of the sound goes straight up but doesn't have a roof to bounce off, so at the ring where the mics are doesn't receive sound at the same volume as it does for arena shows. Makes it sound quieter if they're not specifically recording the crowd for noise.
@ZBatt15 ай бұрын
I noticed the crowd standing and sitting in sync, I know that can be a part of the show but it does make sense with people further away having an obscured view for staff to step in. Thanks for the info! Never been to a show myself but hoping to go soon.

i watched summerslam at home, and the crowd was NOT dead. to me, it was as loud as the average arena show, and knowing that it was in a stadium made that fact very impressive. coupled with my own excitement, it was very very electric. i think the person who thought the cleveland crowd was dead might be comparing it to LOUD arena shows (ie backlash in france, chicago, canadian shows, etc.). which, let’s be honest, no stadium can compete with LOUD arenas.

In open roof stadiums, the noise escapes very quickly, so I agree it was very impressive how loud this show was

This Summer Slam was probably my second favorite PLE I’ve watched since coming back to wrestling last year. Every match delivered and that crowd was on fire
@05weasel5 ай бұрын
I’ve heard people complain that with the open air stadiums the sound just goes straight up out the top and the crowd reactions don’t come across as well as in an arena. Believe wrestlers have talked about it in interviews too that it’s harder for them to gauge reactions in stadiums than it is in an arena.

I thought Roman had such an epic aura and cinematic entrance that I didn't even notice it was a new theme at all! 😹 I think I was just in the moment. I had goosebumps even though I have a casual appreciation for Roman. Between that and the epic Gunther vs Damien match, I really felt like I used to feel watching the show as a kid.

From my first initial perspective watching on tv i thought the crowd wasnt too loud. But when i watched everyones videos that were they, they were saying the crowd was absolutely electric. I think the indoor arenas, the pops on tv are insane cuz its packed close, but for some reason those big stadiums, they tend to seem not as hype as the arenas when watching on tv

Love hearing about your experiences at Summerslam. I was at Mania 40 and its interesting how many similarities and differences there are. Leaving the arena was so easy in Philly. Next time you go to Cleveland, try "Melt Bar and Grilled". Amazing food. I had it before I went to an AIW show.

3:40 it goes to show how much a crowd makes or breaks a show sometimes. Like raw in Baltimore had a great crowd and it was a good show, but everything from Bronson reed to sheamus was elevated with the crowd. Same for summerslam. And then think about wrestlemania night one or the Nashville raw when cm punk returned where the quieter crowd made a noticeable change. Just my thoughts

Thank you for this video and everyone had great questions! Every time I watch your videos, I get hyped to attend an event. You mentioned the pricing for tickets. Which platform do you use to buy tickets? I downloaded Seat Geek and Ticketmaster apps. Is it better to purchase from a PC or are the app okay?
@Dporticus5 ай бұрын
I usually use ticketmaster if I'm buying months in advance. If I'm buying closer to the event I'll try to find tickets on other apps like seat geek just in case someone's trying to ditch tickets last minute. I prefer buying from the pc just because I feel like it's easier to navigate the arena and look at different seats.
@AkitsukiGames5 ай бұрын
Also I want to note when it comes to the crowds on TV, they have to balance the commentators, the crowd, the announcer, and the in ring noises such as chops or word exchanges. When I was there I didn't really here much of the chops from where I was but when I watched it on tv they were loud af. So I think the production crew had to find a balance which sadly puts crowds in this light that we aren't loud.

I feel the guy worried about going alone. I've done it for a while. I went to Summerslam in Detroit alone which didn't go well and I ended up leaving after a few matches. My biggest tip is to get an aisle seat. Made the mistake of not at Summerslam. I'm fine at the house shows but I'll find a buddy for the next big one.

I'm on a fixed income ( disability ) and have a few questions... 1. Should I save up to go to a live event no matter the seat location??? 2. Should I save up to be closer to the ring??? 3. Should I try and save up for a big PLE??? 4 Should I not worry about it and just continue to enjoy it on TV???

I would suggest trying out a house show first. It's usually much more affordable and it's a great time. You can definitely get decent seats at those for MUCH cheaper than going to a PLE or weekly show.

I am huge Roman's fan. I have been fan of him since 2016.in that time since i was not aware of the mystry of wrestling being scripted(eventhough i used to hear that it was fake), i thought that Roman was really the unbeatable guy other than Brock Lesnar. So i was not aware yet that Roman was hated wrestler, Because i couldn't undestand English at the time. And i didn't understood what Booing wrestlers meant.since i was new to these types of things, eventhough i was watching WWE in 2010-2013 and in that time i was also huge fan of John Cena. So when i started to understand wrestling and the English languege more, i learnt why Roman was hated. I really felt sorry for the guy.nevertheless i was still fan of him, all the way to SummerSlam 2020. When he returned in 2020, fans started to like him even before he began his spectacular works in storyline. And the Moment he superman punched Jey Uso, in the entrance ramp and yelled at him saying that not only does he feeds his children and his family with the title but their whole family. the fans in the youtube Comment section was just in awe that he could talk like that. Ever since that time he started to grow on people and each time people couldn't believ this was the same Roman from 2015-2019. Anyway since 2020 i have been watching each segment of the Bloodline with Roman. I would not watch any other segment(except now, i checked Raw weekly).and i think i have heard alot of people saying that(if i am not mistaken i heard you also saying the bloodline attracted you to be a fan of wrestling more than any). To cut my story short, When Roman returned at SummerSlam 2024, the feeling was something else, i watched his return videos countless times(lik many people). Of course i was not there, but just watching his return on youtube and how the fans popped , it gives you unexpressible feeling. it feels very mytical. Sometimes i couldn't even believe that he was the most hated wrestler at some point. Anyway i know i was supposed to ask questions, but since i have watched some of your videos including your exprience at SummerSlam, i have heard you saying Roman got you to Wrestling(if i heard that right) I also heard you saying your Fiance is huge fan of Roman that she was really happy at his return. And that it was really good exprience for both of you, i guess it just urge me to write my own story of being fan of the Tribal Chief. Thanks for sharing your exprience about his return by the way it was good hearing in details from personal exprience. I was just going to ask a questione, but sinec i don't comment alot, i had to write something probably unrelated to the topic. Anyway my Questione was going to be, have you watched Roman's return on youtube? If yes, does the video actaully do justice to how he recieved a pop from the crowds? And have you had any chance to meet Roman, maybe after his return? And an other question, does the fightings look very fake watching it live or does it looks believable? Since it is very noticable to watch it in Vidoes, i wonder how it will look watching it live. I really like your videos keep going and i also agree with your view of Solo Sokoa.some people are being too unfair to him.
