During the pandemic, Quebec mandates have been unfairly placed on gyms and small businesses, while big businesses are profiting more than ever. No scientific evidence has linked the source of Covid-19 primarily to gyms who act responsibly. Yet, gyms have been scapegoated and regarded as unimportant and unessential. Malls, subways, schools and other high traffic organizations are still up and running. Yet, none of these organizations are as essential to health as diet and exercise. Fitness is our right! We should be allowed to train within strategically thought out Covid precautions over being totally shutdown which can prove to be worse for our physical and mental health.
Many gyms around the world, and especially in the USA, are nearly fully open. Physically fit people are less susceptible to the dangers of any disease. We have the right to stay physically fit. Please join our site in efforts to organize gyms in all of Quebec to help us stay open while conforming to Covid mandates and keeping athletes both safe and fit.
Gyms and small businesses have quickly been going bankrupt. Owners and employees losing their income and unable to sustain a living is no way to win a fight against Covid. Rather our aim is to implement scientifically based strategies that accord with the law while allowing us to prevent Covid and practice our right to be fit.

Coach, I love the quality and density of your instructionals, if I could recommend an improvement it would be to add timestamps to the jujiclub player. So when someone needs to go back and watch a specific part again its easy to find.

I have clipped a portion of your chat with saboor then other day. You literally articulated my philosophy of life to me in words - something that I know intuitively but difficult to put into words. Amazing! It was about putting God in your number one position. You should honestly write a book on your learnings regarding philosophy for modern lay people, I think a lot of people would benefit especially me

Firas I know you mentioned having potential guests on... I know I'm not the first one to mention this but definitely my #1 vote would be John Danaher. No matter what you guys talk about BJJ, MMA, philosophy I feel like it would be one of the best podcasts. Either way, thankyou as always for the insightful content.

Stay strong Firas youre doing the right thing, I think rational thought and logic have a hard time in todays world where most think their subjective opinion is objective fact.. Leg locks on big guys 100 percent though entries are easier and there is a longer lever on the joint kind of a force multiplier really

Grew up doing grappling, kickboxing. In my 30's now. Started Jiu Jitsu early 2021. Within 6 months, sustained 4 injuries. Last one was fractured ribs. Never got hurt at that rate before. To top it off, I noticed, we are only taught attacks, zero defensive skills, and the higher ranks/competitive guys have no regard for their training partners skill levels, or each other. Keep thinking i should find a new gym?
