Sooo helpful! Thank very much. You made me think about not fulfilling a client’s specific wish. I guess it’s about losing control. I am used to teaching on various equipment to get clients learn to use their body on different surfaces. Good idea with the lunch hour ❤

I get it! When you've been teaching Pilates for a while, you know that Pilates can't be learned in a few lessons, but I guess sometimes we need to meet people where they are at emotionally and mentally and maybe they'll want more eventually.

Sarah: Regarding the STOTT vs. BB spring tension. I looked up the tension colors for you. STOTT Blue is light and red is heavy. With BB white is light and black is heavy. But I'm not sure how the two heavy one's compare, nor the two light springs. Sorry. It's sometimes really hard to get this info. Maybe someone else here can help.

I have a Stott/balanced body comparison chart but I'm not sure how to add it here but the R Stott are considered Full, the Blue is 1/2 and the white is 1/4; The overall tension on the Stott does feel a little heavier than the BB but I've used 1B and 1W for a R/B on BB or 1R/1B on Stott for 2R on BB it just depends on the age of the springs because if they're newer they tend to be tighter

@@PilatesRD This is super helpful! Could you email it to comment@pilatesencyclopedia.com? Then I could add it as a download to the post description.
