My parents & several groups of their friends used to take us CAMPING at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia every year back in like 1969-70 We stayed the whole week. Our parents gave us kids like $3.00 & let us run free all day at the fair. I was 10 yrs old! My brother was 5!I didn't even have SHOES on because I remember stepping on lit cigarette butts & burning the F outta my feet, plus the hot asphalt walkways! There were Hari Krishnas with bald heads & a pony tail, dancing in orange robes with bells on their fingers and burning incense.They gave books to us kids.I cannot even imagine anyone doing that today! Our parents would be arrested!! But we had the time of our lives. I loved the AG, 4H and FFA buildings the most.

Are all the days of the state fair the same? As in you wouldn’t be missing out on something specific if you were to only go on 3 different days for example (instead of every day the fair is open).

I also keep a small collection of hot sauces. Was in heaven when in the French Quarter back in 1996 while attending a tropical fish convention as there was a gift shop that had 1/2 of the upstairs devoted to hot sauces. So far , have only found 2 that are too hot - Endorphin Rush and Dave's Insanity. Ever tried those?
