I loved the bowl game. Seeing some of these young guys shine and Taylen actually making some steps reading things finally made it all worth the watch.

I've seen many say Carmona should be expelled, lose his scholarship, get arrested, etc. The people saying that either have an agenda that's more extreme than what Carmona did or have never played sports a day in their life. Was it right? No. Does stuff like this happen in probably every game? Yes. I've talked to coaches who just shake their heads at what some "fans" are saying on social media.

There have always been toxic fans that generate negativity and pessimism and every fanbase has them but now it stands out more because of social media and some of the podcasts, (not this one), that plays it up and perpetuates it for clicks. Then there is also the other extreme where you have a small percentage of fans who don't see things as they really are either. But I beleive that most of the fans fall somewhere in between and love their team and are disappointed when they lose and happy when they win and only want the best for the team. Im 64 and have followed the Razorback teams in most of the sports, but mainly basketball and football, since I was a little boy. I have also witnessed the culture change where a lot of people in the newer generations feel entitled and, to put it bluntly, are lazy. Back when I was growing up "lazy" was a bad word that nobody wanted to be labeled but now it seems that many younger people take pride in it. But the culture change isn't just in work ethic but also in attitudes and the way people treat each other. It's a very sad thing to witness. Many people have moved away from God and become arrogant and selfish too. But I have also witnessed many hard working, humble, and respectful young people exist so there is always hope.

If you think these bowls aren't good enough for you, you probably don't need to watch any game unless it for the championship. And you'll see you'll never have a team you can support. Guess I'm saying your NOT really a HOG fan. We lose I hate it, we win I love it. But do love see kids that want to play instead of players that are playing just for money.

The Liberty Bowl is one of the oldest bowl games today, approaching 7 decades. It isn't the Cotton bowl, but I don't consider it one of these new bowl games that you've never heard of before. The Liberty Bowl has been around for 66 years. It was first played in 1959 in Philadelphia, and moved to Memphis in 1965. At this point, the Liberty Bowl IS a traditional bowl game. I don't consider it a "throw away" bowl game... things you never heard of... my favorited "one and done" bowl game was the "Poulan-Weed eater bowl" ... lol.. A bowl game based on chain saws and lawn trimming equipment... lol. So those who cast dispersions on the Liberty Bowl... it's not one of these bowl games that show up one year, and you never hear from it again... it is tradition. I was pleasantly surprised how well we think we did in the Liberty Bow, all things considered. Arkansas DID have a slightly above average turnover in the portal, average being 20 per team. But nothing like Washington State... 32 entered the portal there. That's like... half the team! And now with "real" money flowing in... Pitman and his staff can actually compete with high value players on the portal. Some fans are so nasty and love to hear themselves bitch and complain, NOTHING will satisfy them. They are like that nagging, nasty, in-law that you HAVE NO CHOICE, but to put up with.... lol.. :) Happy New Year. Looking forward to 2025!
