I always suggest ice cream / in n out / something really cheap and simple on dates. Guys have taken me to more expensive places and i always tell them it’s not necessary and feel really bad. We’re college students and I know we’re both struggling. If i say yes when you ask me out, it’s cuz i want to be around you, not for how much you can spend on me. Honesty sucks when dating, but it's the best policy, especially if you really are trying to find out if you like this person. The bank got broke because (like a lot of men) he let his ego (or libido) get in the way of logic, and took her somewhere outside of his budget. Don't ask for a date if you don't have enough money. Always bring extra when you are going out. Just like when you're in a mall, even if you're just there to window shop, make sure you bring money incase you break something you have some money to pay for it. If you really want to save money, cook a dinner for her, invite her or bring it to her home. She would still appreciate that. Dates need not be expensive all the time.
