I am considering a fairly non invasive treatment for my BPH. Previously (2yrs 9 months)I had the iTind procedure which worked well and the results were quick. Symptoms are now becoming more frequent so I am considering Resume or Green Light Lazer but can’t find any comparisons on KZbin. Would appreciate anyone with knowledge of these two options giving me the pro’s and con’s for these two options. Tks

I had Rezum 3 yrs ago. A most painful procedure. The next 30 days were pure hell. I am scheduled for HOLEP surgery in 2 weeks. I wish I had never heard of Rezum.

My initial Rezum was not very painful at all. I am having a second procedure done (within the first year). The reason for my second procedure is due to the remnants of my median lobe that was not fully destroyed initially.

Surgeons ability is key for ALL BPH treatments. My advice, start with PAE, very easy and could be all you need. You still can do any other treatment if PAE doesn't help you. HOLEP would be my 2nd choice, again, get a surgeon with lots of experience.

Rezum is so brutal and painful that I am willing to postpone needed treatment rather than undergo another procedure. Rezum should be medically unethical. It is incredibly painful and results are disappointing. Why undergo Rezum when you are going to need another procedure in the future.

Considering they use steam to burn off tissue, it doesn't surprise me that it is painful ! A steam burn is a bad burn and even on the outside of the body is painful and heals slowly !

I agree, the procedure is not as pain free as some people are stating. Also, I do believe the people who state that they went back to work the next day, played golf etc. I am 3 months in and still have some pain and discomfort

Not true, I had rezum 3 weeks ago and I was able to go back to work the next day, catheter for 5 days and just mild pain during urination for the first 2 weeks. After that, the recovery and imrprovement in urination is exponential. This is why I chose Rezum and so far I'm not at all disapointed.
