Can you weigh in on maintaining that life? What I mean is that it feels like everyone weighs in on getting through selection and maybe some stuff on going through training, but every time I hear stuff outta groups like 75th ranger reg, because of their willingness to immediately kick you out for not meeting the standard in the slightest and how people that go through RASP will still get dropped because they can't match the tempo of the battalions, like As silly as it sounds, I wanna hear you weigh in on maintaining that kinda life, maintaining or even increasing that intensity from selection onwards for many years of service, especially for people like myself who haven't committed to anything for so long

Randy, would you ever consider hosting or collaborating with one of your American brothers for an episode?
@thadumbgoose6 ай бұрын
Hi Randy, love your content. I know reservists are able to try and pursue special forces after 2 years of service, but is it much harder for reservists to make it into special forces vs reg forces guys? Thanks a ton for the informative videos.

Pretty sure it’s two years in reg force and three years in reserves before you can attempt selection.

All you need is to be qualified in your trade, no time needed on service, no difference at all between reg and reserve

@@JohnSmith-ei6sc I've heard that a lot too but I looked it up on the site and checked with a few recruiters and they've all said its 2 years even for reservists, maybe it changed recently?

Any neurodivergence in JTF-2 such as ADHD or autism?
@wingzero73166 ай бұрын
I never served in military but i doudt autistic and people with asperger’s would be allowed in JTF2. Operators need to be good communicators, know how to interact with people and have good social skills. ADHD i not sure but i woudnt be surprised if there are operators who have it, a lot of adventurous people have ADHD and operators are adventurous people. I suspect it depends on how severe the ADHD is, if person incapable of paying attention i can't see them passing selection.

I used to work with someone in 2014 who has asperger’s, he a geniuses in mathematics and physics, i was working at a factory and he was a university student working a summer job. He didn't understand, jokes, humor, he wasn't good at things outside math and physics, didn't know how to socialise nor being part of a team.

I and some otherers i worked with would find online random hard physics questions, crazy physics equations and insane math to test the guy, none of us understood accept that guy he knew physics and hardest mathematics. We found the answers online but didn't understand it ourselves. Other than that he was not good at anything else, even simple conversation and social cues.

Lots of operators are adhd personalities. Not the good doctor types, though 😂

I as a civilian, always saw exstream sport's types like base jumpers to be similar breed as special forces. My favorite Base Jumper is Chris Douggs McDougal and i can see him in special forces if he chosen that path instead of base jumping.

I'd have no problem taking a step back flip it into F/A and wipe my entire team.
