usually the Patrol Pathfinders do stuff like that if you want more info that's what I've been researching. they do all the "cool stuff in the army" and these amazing SOF operators rely on the whole CAF to get the good work done for us. question for you Randy if you ever heard anything about NTOG? I don't think JTF2 or CSOR is in my lifetime so anything I can glean would be tremendously helpful.

You only work in Eastern Canada, right? Just wanted to double check. I only see eastern canada in your events calendar... The self-defences classes seemed kinda cool.

Earlier this summer I was lifting weights every single day for about four hours. Part of the workout was for "cleans" of 190 lbs, followed by forty clean and pishpresses of 100 lbs.. followed by squats, arms and also Pendalay rows of 185 to 250 lbs. Then single Hand lifts with an Olympic bar working up to single lifts of 240 to 260 lbs. I lost that ability over the heatwave. I guess I just had more time than prospective candidates.

Forty cleans of 190.. then forty clean and pishpresses of 195 to 205 lbs. ..taking as much time as I required.

Texting!! FOUR HOURS WORKING OUT.. IT WAS: FORTY CLEANS OF 190 LBS, FOLLOWED BY FORTY CLEAN TO OVERHEAD PUSHPRESS OR CLEAN AND JERK OF 200 - 205 LBS. Once I did that, that I threw 215 over my head about 9 times in five minutes. Followed by squats.. curls, standing O.H.P of 135 for sets of five... Etc. I could NEVER be in JTF2.. let alone reserves or any other.

You should go over training for the actual job as a JTF2 operator

It would be interesting to know what you actually did with those 90 minutes three times a week. Not in general, but what did you need to do/or need to get better at at that time? (Knowing of course that it will be different for everybody)

He was probably using this (or something similiar) "SOA JTF2 Pre-Selection Physical Fitness Program" (google and you can find the latest PDF version), and working/training to improve the areas that he felt were not up to standard. When I was in, most guys trying out for CANSOF units, running and rucking was generally were people put the bulk of their focus.
@GWW-o1fАй бұрын
I just read over that PDF document. I thought all my workouts were good. I tried to base my stuff off of Bulgarian weightlifting training.. but that JTF2 stuff is mostly a TON of running! I can't run AT.. ALL. I once ran 4km straight in highschool, 30 years ago.. I almost vomitted. I just rucked 70 lbs for 13km, the other day.. that was pretty easy but also quite tiring. Dang! I thought my four hours of continuous throwing 195 to 205 lbs overhead was "pretty good".. I couldn't handle that RUNNING!! (ALL the calories it would burn off!! Geez!!)
@edwardlenovo3240Ай бұрын
@@GWW-o1f Well that's what they do during selection....ALOT of running.

I have a question, How easy or hard is it to get clearance to speak on certain experiences? For example i saw an earlier short that said coming soon and soon never came, I know Ryan had issues with clearance for the Dallas interview so im curious to what you go through and can and cant post. Stay blessed 👊🏼

Thanks for your service, Randy. I appreciate your humble professionalism and willingness to share your own experience serving our country. A couple of questions for you: is there a francophone unit within JTF2. If not, how are Francophones integrated into the system? Also, have any women been selected to serve in JTF2? Thanks very much. 🫡
