Ask the Vet - Cellulitis in horses

Dr. Gray mentions a couple things you should NEVER do if your horse does have cellulitis and the ways to treat it.

One of my friends had to put her horse down that had a major flair up from cellulitis. Older mare. Not a good situation at all, but the horse was extremely well loved by the owner. It’s so awful this had happened to my friend

I delt with horse with cellulitis. Not fun. Had to do intramuscular needles, and oral meds. No exercise for two months. Small cut in back leg. Extremely inflamed from coronary band, to stifle. Not fun.

Same thing happening to me right now🤦‍♀️😩 it’s been a month on needles and oral meds and still stiff and sore any faster than a walk
