Ross always comes across to me as more of a salesman than a tradesman. (I think it's his exaggerated facial expressions and mannerisms.)

As a hardwood flooring Master craftsman that repair was no Bueno. The end product came out very blotchy.

Is there an acceptable tolerance for the table saw fence to be out of square? How do we fix it if it is out of square?
@geometric51035 жыл бұрын
On some saws the fence is adjustable. On my table saw you loosen the bolts that hold the trunnions (this is the motor, blade assembly) to the underside of the cast iron table top. Then you can twist/rack that assembly to get the saw blade parallel to the fence. Then tighten the trunnion bolts, being sure the assembly doesn't walk out of square.

You have to remember, that by sanding the wood, you expose raw wood. That is wood that has not had any sunlight. Most wood changes color as it is exposed to sunlight. In 6-8 months, that repair will really be invisible

TOH need to put links for the products they demo on these videos. Silly to demo one and not even tell its name or a link to the company. For example the stud finder.

screws. they have videos on the channel for that, too.

You can buy a set called a Floor Repair Kit at home Depot and probably others. It comes with special screws that have breakable heads. You drill them in, then break the heads off. The set comes with a manual on how best to use the screws.

What's the name of the product that interfaces with your smart phone or the URL where it can be found. Could you re-edit the description of, at least, this video to reply to my question.

Looks to me like the "Walabot." You can find it on Amazon or at Walmart. (just google "smartphone stud finder"--several similar products)

I agree with you. You could tell that she wasn't completely happy with the end result, but had to say what they had told her to say. I'm sure the next day, she was sanding and fixing the issue that she had to ignore in front of the camera.

As a British viewer, the cheesy American presenting style where everything is so obviously scripted, even homeowner reactions, is so annoying. These tradesmen Should be passionate enough about what they do to at least sound kinda interested
