During early 2000 my uncle who was that time in army, recalls that the whole Manipur except the imphal valley was controlled by the insurgent groups. In fact they had their own tax regime, own army, own government system what not. From then the time right now in Manipur is 100 times better. Just that govt need to be more pro active and tactful.

Hindi isn't even an ancient language, and btw, it isn't even a single language... The Hindi that you know is made up of several different local dialects, and certainly the Hindi that most of the north Indians speak isn't even pure Hindi. And btw, north India doesn't represent the whole of India. Lol, it doesn't even represent half of India. There is nothing special about Hindi which makes it qualify as a potential national language. It's just another one of the many common languages spoken in India.
