How To Stop Apps and Programs From Opening Automatically in Windows 10 (Disabling Startup)

Hi I have an unrelated question but I am struggling to find an answer anywhere maybe you can help In windows media player I went to ORGANIZE and wanted to change the library to RELEASE DATE however when I did under GENRE, ALBLUM or ARTIST the ablum artwork is there but when opening individual artists the artwork doesn't appear just the list of albums by the artist but no artwork. I have tried to go back and try different things in ORGANIZE but it doesn't seem to help Could use some advice if you could

I have windows defender in my startup. Could this be causing longer boot ups? I do not have an SSD harddrive.

So keep in mind that Windows Security will always be running under normal circumstances and that this item is just for the notification icon. You are free to turn it off if you never use the icon in your dock. Turning items off will always help but it might not always be noticeable. I would say that upgrading to an SSD or M.2 drive will do more for your boot times than anything else if that is an option for you.

Josh, Previously on my laptop after pressing F4 key, my mic used to turn on and off. Now, it's not working that way. Even i press F4 key, mic always remains on and no changes occur. Do yo know How can i reset it so that i can turn mic on and off by simply pressing F4 as i used to do previously?

Your laptop might have some kind of 'function lock' key or something that will change what your function keys do that has been disabled - that's the most likely culprit.

@@AskaComputerGeek Thank you josh. I am facing next problem as well. Please suggest me what i can do.. I use laptop plugged in & using it while plugged in, my laptop generally charges to 96/97/98/99 % and does not move ahead. And even if i shut down and charge it it gets stuck at same % . Now, this time, when i use without charging and let the battery charge level fall and then shut down and charge it, then only it gets to 100% again. Any idea what might be happening. ?

@@slemchrimell6014 you might want to go to your store where you got it/website. That is something directly happening to your laptop, you may want to change your charger
