Such a Magnificent beauty with such an inspiring story. Mumtaz Mahal was reputed to have a combination of modesty and candor. Mumtaz was remarkable in the field of learning and was a talented and cultured lady. She could compose poems in Persian. Mumtaz Mahal was a politically astute woman and served as a crucial advisor and confidante to her husband. As one of the world's most famous symbols of love, Emperor Shah Jehan built the spectacular Taj Mahal in memory of his beautiful Persian wife Mumtaz Mahal. Taj Mahal is an eternal love story. Mumtaz Mahal is the inspiration behind the popular French perfume, Guerlain perfume Shalimar. A crater was named in honour of Mumtaz Mahal, on asteroid 433 Eros. English poet Sir Edwin Arnold describes it as "Not a piece of architecture, as other buildings are, but the proud passion of an emperor's love wrought in living stones. The beauty of the monument is also taken as a representation of Mumtaz Mahal's beauty and this association leads many to describe the Taj Mahal as feminine. " After their wedding celebrations, Shah Jahan, "finding her in appearance and character elect among all the women of the time", gave her the title "Mumtaz Mahal" Begum ("the Exalted One of the Palace"). Mumtaz had a loving marriage with Shah Jahan. Even during her lifetime, poets would extol her beauty, grace, and compassion. The most notable example of the influence of Persian Gardens in the Indian subcontinent can be found in the Taj Mahal place built by emperor Shah Jahan for his Persian wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Shah Jahan had the Taj Mahal built as a tomb for her, which is considered to be a monument of undying love. The Taj Mahal was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage". The Taj Mahal attracts 7-8 million visitors every year, it was declared a winner of the New 7 Wonders of the World initiative. Shah Jahan consulted Mumtaz Mahal in both private matters and the affairs of the state, and she served as his close confidant and trusted adviser. At her intercession, he forgave enemies or commuted death sentences.[37] His trust in her was so great that he gave her the highest honour of the land - his imperial seal, the Mehr Uzaz,[38] which validated imperial decrees.[39] Mumtaz was portrayed as having no aspirations to political power, in contrast to her aunt, Empress Nur Jahan, the chief consort of Emperor Jahangir, who had wielded considerable influence in the previous reign.[40] A great influence on him, often intervening on behalf of the poor and destitute. Mumtaz also patronized a number of poets, scholars and other talented persons.

People who are appreciating this stunning mausoleum are with very soft heart. All I would like to say that someone has given this beautiful mausoleum around 400 years ago but till date no one ever tried to beautify our Yamuna which is like a necklace around it. For God sake beautify the river, make the river bank on a sloping concrete and let the transport flow in it. Learn from Germany and Holland, how they are using their waterways.

Why do you talk about Indian Muslims only? That's extremely biased and sectarian. I don't understand why we don't accept that we are Indians irrespective of our religion. Each of us has contributed to the diverse culture as well as the ongoing development of the country. As far as architecture is concerned, the Islamic rulers have built beautiful mosques and tombs. But you can't say that architecture from other religions aren't beautiful as well. You must see the beautiful and exquisite temples(both Hindu as well as Jain) dotted across the country. And let us not forget the beautiful Gurudwaras in Punjab and many places in North India or the stunning churches and cathedrals in South India and the colonial cities or the impressive monasteries in the Himalayan region. And there are numerous ancient palaces and forts built by rulers from all religions. Can't you feel equally proud of all of them? I do...
@ishanghosh126 жыл бұрын
Shivam Patnaik ur name seems indian but u know nothing about india , we can see firecrackers lighting in our country in the sky when pakistans defeats India in cricket ,muslims of India are trying to move kashmir away from India , they are even trying to unchair modi who is awarded best prime minister from UNESCO ,how can we stay equally after all those things?
@shivampatnaik20006 жыл бұрын
Ishan Ghosh Well, I didn't defame anyone. Nor did I criticize Modi(I consider him the best among all his contemporaries) or support Pakistan in cricket or the Kashmir issue. I don't understand what you want to convey. I just want to see the hatred end and a new age of harmony emerge. And this applies to everyone(including the minorities). I don't understand how someone(like you) can take offence and criticize me for writing an extremely positive and neutral comment(I neither supported nor opposed any group; I still don't). Perhaps you simply read the first statement praising Islamic architecture and let your Hindu feeling take over... My advice- please read the entire comment and just don't act without thinking PS: I'm a proud Indian and take immense pride in the impressive edifices built by our forefathers. If you don't agree then never visit the Taj Mahal, Humayun's tomb or Qutb Minar(however I'm sad that Qutb Minar was built by demolishing numerous temples that stood at the same location. You can still see the pillars. I wish Qutubuddin Aibak was more tolerant and built his towering minaret at some other location). And never visit the churches of Goa or the monasteries in the North East, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. They aren't the right places for you Also I must say that I'm more versed in history and culture of India than an average Indian. But I take a rational view. Even if we suffered a lot in the past there's no point making hullabaloo over that now(there are still people clamouring for British compensation 70 years after independence. Lol. Couldn't we have rebuilt the Golden Bird by now?). No one's going to benefit from it anymore. And I too feel repulsed by intolerant invaders and rulers from past. But one cannot deny the fact that many of them have contributed good things too. And most of the important Mughals(except Aurangzeb) were great and benevolent rulers too. So let us forgive but not forget and rejoice in their great offerings to the nation too. And I don't like people from any religion who support other countries at the cost of India. I've nothing to do with them and I detest them. I just want India to be a peaceful country where neither 'majority dominance' nor 'minority appeasement' is encouraged. We've much more important things to do than scuffle among ourselves about who's better. Sorry for the long reply. But I hope you've got the complete picture of what I meant to say. Peace...(I mean you no offence and am not interested in defending myself in the course of pointless discussion that's not going to affect anybody) Good day...

Hindustan, a massive SUB CONTINENT, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Paak, and part of Afghanistan, once GREAT HINDUSTAN. This land was developed by inspiration of MUSLIMS & HINDUSTANI people who lived together & still DOES. They bought their own TALENT, GIFT, and ART of engineering the places OF MARVEL. They had the goals in mind. Leaving family behind to BUILT ON HINDUSTANI LAND. The questions still remain how could monument be built in ONE BIG PIECE & WHAT KIND OF GLUE IS HOLDING IT TOGETHER FOR SO MANY CENTURIES. LIKE A SOUL, YOU CANNOT SEE, YOU CANNOT TOUCH, YOU CANNOT SMELL, OR YOU CANNOT IMAGINE. BUT IS THERE, SO IS LAND OF HINDUSTAN & ITS PEOPLE. IT IS THERE TAJ & MANY OTHER GREAT PLACES IN HINDUSTANI LAND. Do not question RAFI, question the one who’s great grandchildren still exists in land of many. RAFI KITTERY Maine USA

⬛️ My dear friends from India. Some time ago, I read on the internet a information that the Taj Mahal will be closed due to degradation - and will probably be renovated. And I wanted to pay a visit there in 2023. Do you think he will be finished by then ? I wish you all the best, with health and happiness, in peace ! ~ Namaste 🙏 Sincerely, Dinu 👣, from Romania.

Ohh... thank you very much dear friend @@akhil_mp Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this wonderful news. I already know: the visitors access is allowed only in bare feet. And I'm used to going barefoot. This is the only way I will go to India, not only for my pleasure, but because this country is holy - for me it is the most beautiful country in the world. And even more, another world ! Namaste ~ 🙏

No, I thank you, dear Indian friend@@akhil_mp But I don't think you have to generalize what I believe (feel) with what others believe. As you know, there is no forest without dry trees. There are people and people. Each with his personal pleasures. And I will now tell you only what I believe (about India), but not what others believe. I like all the countries in the world, but I love (more) India. I have read many comments about India (not only here, but everywhere on the internet). Unfortunately many people consider it a very dirty and poor country, like a hell. But I don't care: for me, INDIA is the most beautiful country in the world. In fact, it is not a country, but another world. A good and beautiful world. So, it become even a family. A great family. And I feel that I'm part of this family. I love India, with all. Not exist poor people or rich people. Exist just people. With warm soul. Maybe is another world. But on the same planet. In my case, India is the home of the arts. I like this country both geographically and culturally, artistically. I like the people of India because they respect their original folk traditions (still unaltered by the waves of modernism or fashion). Thanks and I wish you all the best, with health and happiness, in peace and love ! I think that India will rule the world in 2050 ! Sincerely, Dinu , from Romania. Namaste 🙏

@@Dinu-desculţ That's true.. majority of us are poor. But I am proud that my country, my family, my culture taught me that it's more important to be rich by heart rather than being millionaire.. And I wonder how ardently you are admiring India.. I would love to say that you are also one of our Indian brothers..❤️ Since our lower schooling time, every children have been proclaiming that "ALL INDIANS ARE MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS..!!" It's our pledge in school..😊 And we have a particular article in our honorable constitution denoting that all should promote international peace... - Article 51 ❤️ Namaste ! Jai Hind ❤️🇮🇳

There is nothing much to see. Inside the Taj Mahal is a mausoleum for Shah Jahan and his wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
