I had the same Pekka Rinne like Troy , they offered me a replacement as the contract with Pekka was on hold. (Was told by a UD Employee who contacted me)

For anyone viewing this comment, please wait until after players like Kaprizov to either finish their career, or near the end of their career to buy his card. I remember when I was 13 or 14 years old, and it was Ilya Kovalchuk’s rookie year. His cards were booming, but obviously with guys like Jagr, Iginla, and Forsberg, Ilya’s cards dropped in value after his sixth and seventh year. For Kaprizov collectors, if they were collecting in the early 2000’s, please use the Kovalchuk rule. You will get the same cards at at least, 50% cheaper, if not more. As collectors or investors, look to the past for answers. If terapeak or whichever company you use to track down sales of cards, and most of these cards are untraceable because the sales happened in the early 2000’s, don’t be shy to ask what happened to superstar players and their card value, from other knowledgeable collectors/investors. Also, Al is still in shape for his age!

Vanachek was traded from NJ to San Jose at deadline...As a devil's fan I can see why they chose him because when they put that goalie list together he came off a great year with devils

I agree with Troy's opinion on the tandem shield. I want the memorabilia to match the jersey that the player is pictured wearing on the card. I'm also just tired of seeing the reverse retro jerseys, especially in high end sets. Even with the McDavid auto you talked about Josh, I like the Oilers reverse retro more than you do, but if I wanted an Ultimate auto of McDavid, I would want one with the home jersey. I can excuse it a bit more with vets, because you have other options from different years if you really don't like the jerseys. But with rookies, players only get one year to be a rookie. Even if I liked my teams reverse retro jersey, I want the rookie card to use the home jersey, or at least a jersey the player wore more than twice. Coming from a hurricanes fan that collects Kochetkov, he has way too many rookie cards in the reverse retro compared to the handful he has in the home / alternate jerseys.

Love Al talking about pretending to be certain nhl players when playing street hockey - same thing me and all my friends would do - when we were playing goalie we used to call out that we were Andy moog, Pete peeters or Reggie lemelin as we were bruins fans, and then Patrick Roy of course. When we weren’t in net we went pretty standard (Gretzky, Lemieux, sometimes Neely)

Winning the gold medal is no comparison to the Stanley Cup. Every kid plays the game dreaming of winning the Stanley Cup not a gold medal. The gold medal is firmly in a distant second place.
