This is one of my favorite songs by Asking. My son introduced me to the band before the release of this album. A year later, we would promote Asking and get to see them live. Damn good show, from start to finish. My son, my best friend, lost his life on October 12, 2023, just four days before his 30th birthday, October 16, 2023. I listen to this song, and it helps, but it hurts so much, knowing that I will no longer be able to share important moments in life with the one person I have shared so much with over the last 30 years. To everyone. Let those in your life know how much they mean to you.

I don't think you know what rock music is. Sorry go back to the roots of rock and get back to me. The amount of emotion, soul, and energy that's given off by this song is amazing. Look past your stereo-typical point-of-view. Rock was ruined by people like you who only judge a band by the sound, and not the meaning behind the lyrics. Don't get me wrong though. In most people's honest opinion any fan of classic, or alternative rock can see what inspired Danny to write this song. I hope I enlightened you a bit. Have a nice day.

so true, theres a thousand examples so no point listing a load but its one of my fav things when bands do this. most dont realise just how good the guys and girls of rock voices actually are, far better than the processed crap of pop who cant sing live. i mean the outright quality of the vocal from david draiman in the sound of silence live, Amy Lee live or Tommy Vext live, they smash it and its not forced, just natural ability with amazing range. metal ballads are the best!

I remember when this song was released, I used to listen to this 24/7. I had a crush on a girl I clearly had no chance at, imagine the most beautiful, the sweetest girl in existence. Now, she's 2x that. Since I've became a music producer, I started to get a lot of attention in my city. We weren't talking for the last 8 years, 2 weeks ago she texted me about a music video we released, it was a sad song about a breakup. How ironic lol. We started talking again, she gave me a LOT of hope. I thought this is it, i said let's go champ, work until you get your childhood crush to have a crush on you. It was all lies. I left her place 2 days ago, the same day same night she's sending a picture of another dude laying on his laps, saying it's over. I'm not suicidal, I just kind of feel lost, this song just reminds me of how strong I was when she was ignoring me back then. I don't know, i just kind of wanted to sort of type it out, it feels great to let it all out you know. Keep your head up champ, don't be so naive. Love to you all!

Asking Alexandria grows up as we grow up. When you get older, you start having a more mature music taste. Not to discredit Stand Up and Scream, but from a production and musician standpoint, From Death To Destiny is MILES ahead of anything they've done so far. They mature more and more on every album. Its cool to not like it, everybody has their opinions and individual tastes in music. I get that. Stand Up and Scream is still a sick album. A Prophecy is probably my favorite song of all time. But you can't flat out say that this sucks and is "selling out" or whatever y'all want to call it. Its an evolvement. Every band evolves. And honestly if you think about it, what album do Asking Alexandria fans get their identity from: Stand Up and Scream. Thats what the world thinks Asking Alexandria fans are all about: open note chugging, 3 breakdowns a song, and no real structure or melody. "Moving On" and almost every song on From Death To Destiny is a great move away from that (without completely changing their identity), and as Asking Alexandria fans, y'all should embrace that. A comparison would be Avenged Sevenfold. Their first 2 albums are pretty metalcore and then the 3 album goes straight into hard rock without completely changing themselves. They continued to evolve as a band and now they sound completely different than they did even from City of Evil. I'm personally not a huge fan of their past 2 albums (especially their most recent) but Avenged Sevenfold established themselves because they evolved. No band goes anywhere making the same album over and over again. If you've read this far, I'm surprised. But all in all, solid work from the band. Can't wait to see these guys again. And to the fans that think this "sucks" or whatever, thats cool that's your opinion and no one should resent that. But I would encourage you to try and appreciate it for what it is: a change in identity from a band that has a pretty shitty identity at the moment.

i have all three asking alexandria album... even though this song is really different, i still love listening to it. like i've always say, it doesn't matter if my favorite bands make songs completely different to their usual sound, if i like it, i'll gladly listen to it. and by the way, bands change during the years, if they stayed on just one same genre/sound, the band will die off and eventually disband. Moving On is one of the best Asking Alexandria songs i've ever heard, no, i;m not a new fan, i started to listen to them before reckless & relentess (2011) came out. i love all their albums, all their songs and i'm not ashamed to admit that i would love another beautiful song like this on their future records.

it's all nice and merry that u like this song so much. i have no control over that and im not willing to make u believe its not the case cause i simply cant change u guys' opinions. but could u for gods sake please stop putting the old albums of AA in any comparison with this song. theres nothing even close to related with the old stuff. its just the same members singing a completely new song. if u like them so much. aight, get some wild fantasies. this is basically a new band, just call it asking alexander for a date or something gayish like that in ur case. o pls.. if u really like the old albums, go ahead and get ur hands ready for some different bands, cause AA is a dead end for ya. sry bud

Musically and lyrically, this is probably the best song off this album. I might love the old AA, but I also love this song. It gives me goosebumps. And to those of you complaining about AA changing, get over it. It's not like they're gonna write a bunch of albums that all sound the same. People also need to quit bitching about them being "gay" or sucking at heavy metal. First off, they're not heavy metal, therefore can't possibly suck at making it. Secondly, just because you don't like them doesn't mean they're gay. They're way more badass than any of you haters anyways.

Danny brings that Grown up aspect to this band. With his voice, it's like they had grown up from that emo stage. They grew as a rock band. When Danny left it was hard but Denis tried to keep it going. It was amazing. Don't get me wrong. I love Denis a lot but like this song says they are moving on. They became an awesome rock band even more so since Danny had joined back. Denis had a beautiful voice but I think Danny is the main key to this band. He's what makes the band so punk rock and not emo. I also love how Ben, James, Camron, and Sam were okay with bringing Denis. They all learned and when Danny came back they all put their heart and soul into these songs as if Danny never left. Asking Alexandria is amazing in so many ways. I love them regardless of who is in the band.

Think about it, they are becoming very popular now. Think about Linkin Park, Paramore, 30 Seconds to Mars, Fall Out Boy. They aren't the same as they were when they first started, but they evolved into something much greater. To get a wider audience. AA is doing that. Now with this song, think about their love for 80's hair metal. Great bands like Aerosmith, Guns N Roses, Motley Crue made ballads. This is what a ballad is in this era. This is a brand new generation. If you like stand Up and Scream, listen to that or older bands that have broken up because that is a random 3 year scene and it's not cutting it in the music business anymore. AA is trying to become greater than before.
