Asking Alexandria - The Black (Live, KERRANG! Awards, London 2016)

Thursday 9th June 2016, The KERRANG! Awards, The Troxy, Shadwell, East London, London, England, UK.
First time seeing AA and they killed it!!! Only thing that has ruined the whole night is that THIS is the ONLY video that came out with sound. I recorded all of Asking Alexandria's songs and A Day To Remember's also, plus got great footage at the end of The Final Episode as Dennis Stoff ran right by me - I held my phone out and recorded him running at my camera twice. I will upload it but there is no sound.

It's the first "you've got a point" comment I've seen since he joined the band and left. And I totally agree, BUT, there were a lot of performances where he didn't really fit in, or didn't really made the crowd go off. Then again, he did a great job here.

I don’t want the guy who was visually seen saying “call me” to a young fan while on stage. Denis was a subpar frontman who’s ego got too large. Is the new direction what we all truly wanted? No, but they can’t please everyone.

I mean there are musicians who have ego to them but that doesn’t always make it a bad thing because that can amplify confidence in performance. Denis’ run with AA was cut short and The Black will be forever abandoned which is sad since it was my favorite album by them. Sadly Asking Alexandria has further steered away from their root to have a more radio sound, everyone says Danny bring back was the best thing but reviews and former fans realize they should of went with a different singer for a stronger outcome. Their self (red-album) was decent but man “Like A House on Fire” + “See What’s On the Inside” is just not good in general but they are sticking with it… just a sad shame.

People just are so caught up in the past they can't accept the band has grown up, and so the music has matured too. To quote Danny himself "We're different people now." The Black was a terrible direction imo. A sound that strayed incredibly far from their roots. And when all is said and done. Denis just didn't fit in the band.

Big fan since 2010, always watched their live shows and performances and I've never seen Denis lipsync ever. Being off key and out of tune with the band that's normal but I've never seen him lipsync. Maybe it's just another excuse to kick Denis out of the band

@@donaldkarr3687 Backtracked song, but artists do this pretty often anyhow. He was speaking, but it was very softly and not exactly noticable most of the time. Honestly, that show still beats anything Asking is bringing to the crowd now. I've heard some of the stuff they do now, and dear god it's fucking awful. Ever since Danny joined back, it's been a wreck. I feel really bad in some way, cause Danny can still do the extreme stuff, but he doesn't necessarily want to and that's fine; but the quality of their shows has just gone down so much and it doesn't bring the same "energy" as they used to.

i can't say i don't disagree but we can give Denis time to grow he doesn't do this that long for maybe a year and some longer now hes previous bands didn't ask that much of hes voice. and this much more difficult for him then what he did in MMF. the singer of Escape the fate has also gotten better over the years and he is now 29. so my point is that over a couple of years i think he will be able to hit those notes easyer because of experience.
