Because in reality metalcore doesn't sell very well. Arena rock and metal does. Those styles are also less likely to give you a vocal injury when you sing them.

For those wondering why Danny doesnt do more music like this in an interview he had mentioned how he doesnt really enjoy this music and he has also stated this while live streaming on twitch. This was what i can only see as a labor of love for the fans :) Danny takes better care of his voice now and the results do show. Talented guys doing amazing work regardless. What a wonderful performance this one.

in his prime he was very versatile with his screaming voice but a little wobbly with his cleans. now he has matured and sings better overall, although his screams now sound a little forced, but still decent. bands mature or change, so do vocalists, take it or leave it

It doesn't really matter if you prefer new Asking to old Asking. What can't be denied is that haven't achieved high record sales, streams & views since they've changed music styles. Which means they're first 4 albums is what bought them all there success. So with that being said he'll always have to play the old stuff to make the tours worth it for people to consistently buy tickets & come see them.

No way in hell that happens nor should it happen. These guys are in their 30s now and don't want to revisit the early stuff really, especially Danny. He hates this album. Stand Up is a nice time capsule for those of us who were teens in that era, it's fine as is. Plus, the lyrics are very teenager-y in a way that would def not translate well into a "softer re-imagined"
