I was debating for a while to apply to Duke, but only recently decided to do it. I'm currently a senior but I just moved to the US, so though my GPA is a 4.31, I only have 2 AP classes (and another one next semester) because I had a lot of mandatory classes needed to graduate! (Also didn't know ACT was a thing so I didn't study- got a 26 and never redid it. You bet I'm not submitting that.) Good luck to everyone also applying, I hope we can all do it. I’m so frustrated because I would absolutely love to go to Duke, and my GPA is great, but my stupid school offers no extracurriculars except sports. That is going to screw me for every big college, and it’s frustrating that this is going to effect my whole life.

Hi, if anyone has experience in doing impressive ECs and/or historical research please help me out if you can. I'm already half way through 10th grade and am brainstorming impressive ECs because I'm applying to selective schools (almost ivy, not quite lol?) Here's what I have that are related to my passion for history and my future major which is going to be history: -research internship for one summer -writing a research paper for NHD (a competition) -starting a history club at my local library I need more impressive ideas, preferably how to channel my history passion into leadership more???
