When you are talking about having that guard up, it’s so real. My last serious relationship was I was mentally and emotional abused. I then met my now fiancé 9/10 months later. It took me a good couple years for me to finally let my guard down and I feel great for it. He’s amazing and totally understood why. Getting called fat,stupid and ugly for 6 years definitely stick!
